American Top 40 w/two awful guest hosts 6/18/94 Awful huh! Hey they did better than the first duo to host AT40....Hall & Oates! IMO of course. Strange hearing Shadoe introduce them before each segment. After hearing the CT40 from a year later and finding out that "Another Night" became a member of the 40-40 club (no MLB is not the only entity with such a club), 40 weeks in the top 40, I wondered if any song on this show would be around until the end of AT40. Didn't recognize any song from the last show so I guess that has not happened yet. |

You must be listening to this show too! If not, they are guest hosts for this show I just referenced. And an actor and actress from 'Dave's World' that was a TV show that apparently Shadoe was also part of. Never saw the show and vaguely remember that it even existed.

The show was based--very loosely--on the life of humorist Dave Barry, played by Harry "Night Court" Anderson. Shadoe played Dave's boss at the Miami Herald newspaper. The two AT40 guest hosts played the obligatory wacky neighbor and Dave's assistant. Dave Barry's writing was always much funnier than this pedestrian family sitcom, except when Barry wrote about stuff like his divorce and his mother's suicide. Assume neither of those were show episode plotlines... |
