I'm listening to two shows at once. The show from 6-2-79 and the show from 5-23-87. How you doin' that? One on the left side and one on the right? No. I'm listening to the 6-2-79 show on iHeartRadio and the 5-23-87 show on WBME.

I'll be listening to "Rock & Roll Roots", a local Chicago show that airs every Sunday from 7-10 AM (CST) on WDRV featuring music from the 60s and 70s. Hosted by Bob Stroud, the show has been on the air for the most part since May, 1980.
Although management has pared his playlist in the past few years, Bob still manages to make chicken out of chicken salad, so to speak.
Playlists from past shows and streaming are available at the station's website.

I just finished the show from 35 years ago today, June 9, 1979. "Love You Inside Out" by the Bee Gees was number one. Their sixth-consecutive and - sadly, as it turned out - final chart topper.

6-10-72 today and with this show, I will have heard every show at least once from AT40's first 2 years. Or all the shows aired before AT40 first debuted in the windy city, right Pete.

6/12/99 and I am wondering if Brandy is the first person to be quoted on AT40 as saying Hillary Clinton will be the first woman president. And if and when her prediction will come true. Maybe in about 2 and a half years?! The song Brandy sings kind of sums up Hillary's first run at the presidency...."Almost Doesn't Count".

Probably, though I'm surprised that something politically tinged, even if it wasn't explicit advocacy, would make it onto AT40 then. During the Ryan Seacrest years those talked to might occasionally say something like that; regarding HRC maybe someone did in 2007-08, and might again. Maybe Hillary herself has or will say something that is aired on the show; it's worth noting that one opening used for a few years (about 2010-13, I think) used a voice clip from Barack Obama, among other well-known voices.

I was briefly listening to the 1986 year end countdown and I just realized that I missed my favorite song which is These Dreams by Heart.
