The lyrics are strange too. 12:45! Sung by the late Mr. 12:45. at40fg.proboards.com/thread/1078(And there's STILL a question re who sang the probably-female parts. Most think Barbara Ingram, but per the Spinners box set, Thom Bell won't say except to say he won't even say if it's a female.)

I can't believe I never thought of this one!
If anyone ever says the entire title, it will be the first time I've ever heard it said:
"Medley: Intro 'Venus' / Sugar Sugar / No Reply / I'll Be Back / Drive My Car / Do You Want to Know a Secret / We Can Work It Out / I Should Have Known Better / Nowhere Man / You're Going to Lose That Girl / Stars on 45"

John Lennon's "Just Like Starting Over". I'm pretty sure Casey always called it "Starting Over".

Although I do remember guest host Dave Roberts intro-ing this record by giving the full rundown of the songs in the medley. Pete's book says this was the 5/2/81 show, which Casey had to miss for the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A little digging shows that the medley was debuting at #32 that week.

While on the topic of the Casey's second AT40 run... there's also Eamon's hit - "F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)". For obvious reasons, Casey only used the subtitle to refer to the song.

That entered right near the end of Casey's second AT40 run (in November 2003) and carried over into Ryan Seacrest's, who also presumably only gave the subtitle. Seven years later Ryan only gave the radio title of Cee-Lo Green's hit "Forget You", a substitute for that other F-word in the song's official title.

“S*** On The Radio (Remember The Days)” by Nelly Furtado was shortened to “On The Radio.”

“S*** On The Radio (Remember The Days)” by Nelly Furtado was shortened to “On The Radio.” Great catch! I was going to post it. It's the first time (and possibly only time) that I remember Casey not saying the whole title of a song because of questionable language.

I don’t remember Casey giving the subtitle to “Ain’t Gonna Bump No More.”

Anyone remember how Casey treated, "Morning Train (9 To 5")"? I have heard a show, maybe when it went to number one, where he explains the reason for the subtitle, but I can't remember during its run if he did the whole title quite a bit or rarely at all.

"Here's a song that's been a hit under the title Nine to Five all over the world, except here in the USA, since Dolly Parton's song was called 9 to 5, this song was released here under the name, Morning Train, roaring up the track from #21 to 14, here it is by, Sheena Easton..."
