Not a new station, but a 70s only station-now playing the 80s as well KTHI-KHITS 1071 Boise ID www.khits.fm/Hear an original episode of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 as broadcast from the 1980's every Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Then listen every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for a broadcast from the 1970's - only on 107.1 K-HITS Superhits of the 70's and 80's 70s time remains unchanged. The above are local times Yet another indication that 70s-centric oldies stations are slowly going the way of 60s-centric oldies stations: Disappearing as their target demographic gets beyond the age that advertisers are after.

CJFX and Monsterous Radio have dropped the 70s and 80s. I assume the new 24 hour iHeartRadio station had a big impact on their listenership, as they were a week behind.

Is 96.1 MIX 96 on the station list? If not, can somebody please add it? This is a great example of why call letters or station location matters when discussing a station. "96.1 MIX 96" could mean: KMXG Clinton IA KYMX Sacramento CA KXXM San Antonio TX WVLF Norwood NY KZRC Bennington OK WXYM Tomah WI KXXO Olympia WA and I am sure I missed some.

KMXG Mix 96 Clinton IA is already on the '70's station list at 12 Noon on Sunday. They aren't on the '80's list and nothing from their website suggests they should be.

I doubt the iheartradio station is a blip on any station's radar. The average listener isn't the wiser on show dates, what shows air when, and where else they can hear them. They just know they can hear old Casey shows on the weekend if they are in the car. The importance of trivial matters is grossly over dramatized here. My dad likes the Casey shows and will listen for a few minutes in the car if he is out and about on Sunday. He may hear 20 minutes of AT40 a month but likes that it is on. That is the extent of it for 95% of listeners

KQQL's been moved over here from the 70s since they've been playing 80s for weeks now. Hopefully that sticks rather than being wishy-washy like WOCL. Also added a stream for WTOJ since that was discovered as well.

Also added a stream for WTOJ since that was discovered as well. Haven't really been calling in any updates for this '80's thread for some time since I've been concentrating and devoting so much time lately to the '70's site. It's good to see KQQL updated. I believe you have the listing just perfect as I don't see how they could possibly be playing a 4-hour version of the '80's show. To do so they would have to begin one hour sooner or end one hour later than they did with the '70's program (just like you state in the station's listing). I know for a fact, they have been ending the show at 10AM ET/9AM CT just like they did when they played the '70's show. The option of starting one hour earlier is very unlikely since that would require a 6AM ET/5AM CT start time and Premiere requests all subscribing outlets to begin AT 40 broadcasts between 6AM and 12 Midnight in their respective time zones. A start time from 12:01AM - 5:59AM would in practice be a violation of terms and conditions in any station's contract. Bottom line-- the listing looks accurate and correct as it stands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For WTOJ, you correctly changed the timeslot of the '70's show on that thread when you added the new streaming link. But what you didn't realize is that the '80's times have changed as well. Since nobody called it in, there's certainly no harm no foul on your end. The new timeslot for the '80's is now 3PM-7PM on Saturday afternoon/evening. Use this URL for clarity: cbwatertown.com/magic1031/on-air/

Given what you've said there, I agree that odds are three hours is still the case with them. Also bumping them to the top of the 7 AM group there; a 7-10 coming right after several 7-11s in that list just looks awkward. Also changed WTOJ.

The WTOJ changes must be VERY recent. Of course, these last two weekends have been filled with 'special programming', so they haven't been adhering to the Sat 80's 10-2/Sun 70's 11-2 schedule anyways.
