"Down Under" is mine. Not that this would be shocking seeing as how it was their biggest hit. But the other one I really like from them is "Dr. Heckyl & Mr. Jive."

Another song that debuted on the Hot 100 within the Top 30, "All Right" was even more so - it debuted at #29 and couldn't even manage to hit the Top Ten - peaking at #12. It's like they were promoting the heck out of the song at first, then not at all once the song hit the charts.

I know I could look it up, but I feel lazy...

Are you referring to the Christopher Cross tune? I know I could look it up, but I feel lazy... Yes. Christopher Cross sang "All Right". Talking about promotion of the song, "All Right" might have been the last song to close out the NCAA basketball tournament before "One Shining Moment". I can remember when they got to the line, "You can give it one more try" and them replaying Dereck Whittenberg's "ally oop" to Lorenzo Charles for the victory during the 1983 tournament. Though for some reason, I think "Willing And Able" by Prince and NPG was used for either the 1992 NCAA tournament, or the 1992 Super Bowl. I'm guessing because they were both in Minneapolis.

Don't know about 1984 or 1985. In 1982 they used Sister Sledge's "There's No Stoppin' Us" Interestingly CBS wanted to use "One Shining Moment" to close out Super Bowl XXI but didn't have time. It was used for the NCAA Tournament instead.

To go back just a little further, I think "This Is It" by Kenny Loggins was used in 1980 and/or 1981. That's as far back as I can go since I was only 6 or 7 at the time That's interesting about they wanted to use it for the Super Bowl. On a side note, the Prince song I mentioned in an earlier post was played after the Super Bowl in 1992.

I'd be crying if I heard Barbara Streisand too.

If I had known that the losing team in 1986 would one day be one of my alma maters, I might have cried...but I'm with you, if I had stayed up and saw THIS, I would have cried. No doubt. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT21tXbJus8LOL at Denny Crum's face at the end...he can't even stand it!

Sorry. I got through about 30 seconds. Heard it sing and shut it off. She's sung one song I like, "Woman in Love."
