I use WODC & KOKZ for the 70s and WNSN and KOKZ for the 80s
Most of the time those are fine.
KCLH is also good in that it plays everything, but it clips a lot coming out of commercials.

Excellent post rustydj, this thread never gets old as stations get dropped and new ones come out. I added WYNZ to the list of good quality streams. It is similar to KTHI and KOKZ as you pointed out. HE-AACv2/HE-AAC/LC same as LC with SBR and PS. That's how they manage good quality as such low bitrates.

HE-AACv2/HE-AAC/LC same as LC with SBR and PS. That's how they manage good quality as such low bitrates. Posting in this old thread to add a new favorite of mine: WYNZ Copy the following and add http:// before when you paste into a player edgev1.den.echo.liquidcompass.net/WYNZFMAAC They air the show at 6am Sundays. Stream quality (32 kbps AAC 44.1 khz stereo), levels, eq and compression all good--comparable to KOKZ. They are excellent going into and out of commercial breaks and they play all 3 extras. Downside is (according to the 70s Station thread) they only air 3 hours (not really much of factor right now as the only 4 hour shows would be from 1979 and I can grab those from KOKZ) I am editing this post to reflect that a couple of times, WYNZ has played AT40 The 80s instead of 70s. And I have a new favorite to add: WWOW... good quality stream, eq, compression... clean transitions into and out of commercial breaks (not cutting off jingles) Saturday 6 am - 9 am (FIRST Broadcast) (Show REPEATS on Sunday Noon - 3 pm) WWOW - 1360 Wow - "Boomer Tunes" - Conneaut OH 1360 AM s7.viastreaming.net:8200/listen.plsI'm not great at creating links, so it's best to look it up in the 70s Stations list. There are 2 other links as well for Quicktime and Real Player.

For both the 70s and 80s my go-to station is KOKZ. The stream quality is excellent and reliable. However, lately they have been skipping one of the optional extras if that matters to you. Next is WPNC. Both air 4-hour 1979 and late 1978 shows.

WTOJ has a strong stream, as does Hoggy. KKLZ to not too bad.

WTOJ has a strong stream, as does Hoggy. KKLZ to not too bad. Agreed on WTOJ, on sound quality and on how the late 70's shows get extended so that the butchered songs get replaced with more reasonable song lengths.

KGNT sounds excellent. They used to run the 70's, but dropped it a while back in favor of the 80's.
I listened to 1972 this morning on KYTC, sounded good.
