"... you're now one step closer to becoming your parents. Soon you'll be telling your kids to clean the house before the cleaning lady comes. It doesn't make sense, but you're the parents and they're the kids. You'll be telling them that too".
They are Progressive ads. There are a few different ones and they are pretty funny. They have not reached obnoxious stage for me yet.

I just heard this commercial for Olay with another awful female voiceover (a soft-spoken whispery tone with a hint of vocal fry and "Ss" that makes her sound like she's the love child of a lifeguard's whistle and a teakettle).

Regarding local commercials aired during AT40: The 70's and AT40: The 80's. Do you miss when Magic 98 WMGN Madison, Wisconsin carried the shows the local spots for "Charmer's Jewelers in Middleton" or some beauty place in the Madison, Wisconsin area that has a jingle slogan that goes "Let your natural beauty shine through".
Too bad you won't hear these if you listen to WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison even via the iHeartRadio site.

Don't forget about the famous fish boil every Friday...or is it Thursday? And now's the time to get all of your supplies for the upcoming fall hunting season. (FWIW: I enjoy local ads, they never annoy me the way many of the Premiere advertisers do.)

I also enjoy the local ads--one hat shop in southern Australia comes to mind. They seem to advertise a lot from May-July, which is equivalent to our November-January.

The new ad for Go Go Squeeze has me missing Katie and her mother. I just heard that ad and couldn't agree more I thought the Go Go Squeezers were back but it was really an even more annoying Eucrisa ad.

OMG, the Progressive 'everything is weird' might be the stupidest thing I have ever heard!

I caught an ad for Shell--that annoys the c!@p out of me--aargh! In addition, the Capital One ad features a woman with an extremely irritating voice.

On my computer feed for listening to WXXM Rewind 92.1 Madison, Wisconsin: I hear occassionally during in place of the local WXXM commercial breaks at times the voice of Bill Kurtis (former CBS newscaster doing voiceovers for the Decades digital subchannel network - Decades is somewhat similar to retro TV show diginets Me TV and Antenna TV - the latter mentioned featuring voice over promo tracks done by former 1988-1995 AT40 host Shadoe Stevens) doing his ALL IN ILLINOIS "Wear a face mask" PSA campaign.

I know so little about TV or movie stars--is Jennifer Garner one of those? My ignorance of TV and movies is due to the fact that I am such a big music listener.

A game of commercial chicken w/Flo...is destined to get on my nerves. ANYTHING with Flo IMMEDIATELY gets on my nerves! The commercial chicken is still being played. Notice that the music that opens that commercial sounds like "Guily" by Barbra Streissand & Barry Gibb from 1980. Perhaps Flo and Jamie will do a duet in a radio commercial only to be "Guilty" of annoying everyone.

Progressive ads are extremely annoying-Personally,I miss hearing the Geico ads on the vintage "AT40" shows-They're way more clever.
