The dynamics of radio was definitely starting to change meaning the embarrassment of riches from earlier in 1983 were gone forever. But still you can't sneeze at a show with H&O, an Eltimate extra, a rascally Rabbitt extra, Paul and MJ. Sembello not being a Maniac, Kenny and Dolly and the most underrated Bowie, ever! Agree with you on this Vegas! Late 83 was not as superior as earlier in the year, but still pretty good. Was the "Automatic Man" really a "Mirror Man" or was he "Dr. Jeckyl And Mr. Jive"? Did Loverboy "borrow" the same keyboard that The Go Go's used in their 1982 hit "Vacation"? Finally, did the intro in Peter Schilling extra "Major Tom" inspire Nintendo's RC Pro Am at the start of every race?

LVK's normally not a big fan of 1985, but not listening would be a Mistake #3. I like this show Valotte with Elt, H&Ox2, Bruce Springfield. Jamie and Journey, errrr Giuffria. Love Light and Loverboy! You won't be Misled!

Subject matter-wise, "We Can't Hide It Anymore" is one of the most quintessential songs of the decade. SO '70s.

There is no need to Toe The Line listening to 1980 this week. Elt, Ambrosia, MJ, and Dr. Hooker. Charlie Dore, Bernadette Peters, Lions, and the coolest name ever...Photoglo!! Neil and Dara and Andy and ONJ. Frank Sinatra and Spider?!! Ambrosia is my favorite band name in history! Wish they would have lasted longer on the charts but the songs they gave us are lasting treasures. Glad to see they are still touring in some form. RIP former keyboardist David Cutler Lewis who died of brain cancer on June 7, 2021.
