I hated Expose' and I still do. But their material has held up better than a lot of the other crap from that period. The thing about Expose was they were the first female trio to be a blueprint of copycat acts such as The Cover Girls, Sweet Sensation, and Seduction. The only other 80's female trios that were prominent on the charts were The Pointer Sisters and Bananarama seemed to be the only two until 1987. Sorry but I have to stand up for Expose, every time I hear one of their dance songs it peps me up! Gioia has one powerful voice! They had a good balance with ballads also. "Seasons Change" was a song I was rooting for to hit the top and it just got over the hump, although it fell to #6 after it's only week at #1.

I always hated Rapture until the last couple weeks. Now suddenly I can't get enough of it!

In honor of this weekend's 1986 I didn't care for Dancing On The Ceiling then, but love now.

I used to find "Leader of the Band" to be okay, a touching tribute. But now that my own father has been gone for several years, it turns me into a puddle of tears, especially the last verse. Even thinking about it right now I'm getting sentimental....

From this week's '86 countdown, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jan with Full Force's All Cried Out. Big fan of the song in '86. Now I find it overdramatic and annoying. Muted the show when the song came up on the countdown yesterday.
