I always thought Air Supply's 1981 #1 "The One That You Love" was borrowing too liberally from 1980's #2 "All Out Of Love." Totally agree with that one. How about Air Supply following up a song that has the chorus "here I am, the one that you love" with a song called "Here I Am"? I know AS had (and still has) a lot of fans, but they always seemed to be thin on ideas to me.

Not sure if these have been said yet, but how about:
1. Madonna's "Borderline" sounding like Stephanie Mills' "Never Knew Love Like This Before" - at least the beginnings of those songs sound very much alike. 2. Jessica Simpson's "Public Affair" sounding like Madonna's "Dress You Up" - "Public Affair" sounds almost like a blatent rip-off of "Dress You Up" for much of the song, IMHO.

Jennifer Lopez "If You Had My Love" sounds like Brandy and Monica "The Boy is Mine". Prefer J Lo's song but not by much. Do prefer "The Boy is Mine" over "The Girl is Mine" however.
