Alan forgot to mention "Crazy About Her" after it played, and after he paid tribute to the recently departed Benny Mardones, they played the original 1980 version of "Into The Night". Also at the beginning of the show, the whole music bed played before the talk break started, meaning they of course didn't have time to put the break over the music. This was fixed during the regular Friday night airing. Also, as I type, Nina says "So Alive" was up 13 spots when it just moved up 7. Later she said "The Doctor" fell 7 when it actually moved up 3. During his intro to "I Drove All Night," Alan said Roy Orbison's original 1987 version was released in 1982 when it was actually released in 1992. Once again fact checking fails. I wondered if they did a tribute to Benny!

Alan told some funky story of Dan Hartman hearing countdown I Can Dream About You, written by the director of Streets of Fire and deciding to record it himself? Huh?? Dan actually wrote it for H&O who turned it down enabling him to put out his version.

Every Little Step was tagged 1988 which is strange since it didn't chart until 3/89. At least they played the correct version of Into the Night.Hey, this got me thinking: Because "Into the Night" was at the crest of its 1989 chart run, you would think the tagging of that one would have been changed to 1989 just for this countdown.

They actually did play the original 1980 version instead of the '89 re-recording, which is weird considering that they do sometimes play the latter version whenever it was on the chart at that time.

Mark said Almost Paradise was by two singers whose bands were 'on fire'. Heart had had only one top 40 in three years. It would be another year before Ann & Company would begin their comeback.

From last week's 1984 Countdown: 1. Alan said during The Car's "Magic" that "If Paris Hilton had been alive in 1984, she'd be in that songs' music video, too," or something among those lines. Actually, Paris Hilton was alive in 1984 (having been born in December of 1981); she would've been just a toddler around that time. In her weekly content screw up Nina said Colour By Numbers produced 5 big ones. CC's album had 4 Hot 100 singles. 2. The fifth single from the "Colour By Numbers" album that Nina counted was "Victims". A ballad, "Victims" was not released as a single in the United States because Epic/Virgin felt that the song was too depressing to be a single for the U.S. market.

They've always played that version of "The Breakup Song" for some reason. I have no clue why they go with that one.

Alan said countdown Don't Let Him Go was the 1st release and 4th biggie from REOs album? It was actually the 3rd chart entry behind Keep on Loving You and Take It On the Run.

In her weekly content screw up Nina referred to Air Supply as a duo, which they would become later on. But on countdown The One That You Love, they were still a group.

Ironically enough Casey eloquently mentioned on this week's real 1985 offering from Premiere GR & RH Just becoming a duo. It also served as a quasi jinx as the guys from Sydney would fall to #21 the next week, then #25, #37, then unbelievably never spend another panel inside the top 40.
