In their ever changing hit definition Alan said MSM had their first big one with countdown Words Get In The Way. They had already scored two top tenners by this point. Then he called Moody Blues countdown song 'Wildest Dreams'

Casey lite entered the countdown (with the old Martha open) w/ Abracadabra. At least the Steve Miller Band is higher in the top 40, not right near the beginning. Still that tune will play twice in two hours.

That was because the hour before featured a guest DJ set and "Abracadabra" was the last song on there, so thankfully it's not an automation issue.

In their ever changing hit definition, Alan said Frey had a big one at #38. I Found Somebody was really peaking at a modest #31.

OMG, Mark said they would play the single version of Do I Do w/o Dizzy because the album cut was 10 minutes long. So of course they are playing the long album version!

Alan called Juice's countdown song 'Love's Been a Little Hard On Me'. Then he left out Heart of the Night when mentioning the hits off her Quiet Lies album.

I don't understand why when they use a chart they already used to go with new commentary, couldn't they just play the show they already aired and just use that commentary?

Maybe it's so they could give any more up-to-date information on the artists. Yeah, but is repeating charts literally the only way to give that up-to-date info for any of the countdown artists? For example, with "Only the Lonely" (which is peaking at #9) the VJs could have hyped-up The Motels' appearance on the 2020 80s Cruise if any of the July or August 1982 charts had been covered this year. Look at the chart trajectory for "Only the Lonely" during those months: 13 - 11 - 9 - 9 - 9 - 9 - 11 - 13 - 19. The VJs' talk breaks are always after each of those positions.

If they repeat charts so soon like this, the least they could do is change up when the talk breaks are. They've been at those same positions for a while now. There's no harm in changing it up while still having the same amount of them per VJ. BTW Mark did mention the Motels' appearance on the upcoming '80s Cruise after they were played (and a contest too). But yeah, either they're that absent-minded about whatever charts they have already done or they simply don't care.

In their ever changing hit definition, Alan said Frey had a big one at #38. I Found Somebody was really peaking at a modest #31. I'm just reviewing the next couple of Hot 100's and can honestly laugh even harder thinking of Alan Hunter claiming Glenn Frey had a "big one." "I Found Somebody" was about to peak at #31 and drop to #91. Falling 60 notches, that's Glenn Frey with "I Found Somebody."

Nina said Paula Abdul's album was self-titled, when introducing Cold Hearted. It's actually called "Forever Your Girl."

During his outro for "Express Yourself", Alan did not mention "Cherish", the #37 entry, or the fact that Madonna had two back-to-back entries on the countdown, and "Cherish" debuted on the Hot 100 at #37. Also, "Kisses on the Wind" (at #32) was unmentioned during Mark's outro for "Soul Provider". This is one of the worst things about chart repeats.
