Thanks for the great information on such a tragic loss.

Alan peaked 'Dust at #1 for 4 weeks, even though Mark correctly introed three weeks at the top for Queen. That is just unbelievable in just that short amount of time--what three minutes from Mark's part to Alan's part? Obviously no fact checking!

That is just unbelievable in just that short amount of time--what three minutes from Mark's part to Alan's part? Obviously no fact checking! I've always had the sense that the VJs record their parts individually and somebody else slaps it all together at the studio later. I doubt very much that any of them hear the other's parts until the show airs. Completely agree on the fact-checking, though, however it remains unclear exactly who looks up all this semi-factual data.

Alan said Debarge was on a 1982 roll coming off of I Like It. I Like It charted 2/83 and countdown Time Will Reveal was really the successor to All This Love.

In her weekly content screw up, Nina said Elt's Too Low For Zero was his first album in a few years to have chart hits? Chloe? Empty Garden? Blue Eyes?

In her weekly content screw up, Nina said Elt's Too Low For Zero was his first album in a few years to have chart hits? Chloe? Empty Garden? Blue Eyes? It was not Nina, it was WIKIPEDIA. Haven't you figured it out by now that don't just pull this stuff out their rear ends? Oh, and in her other weekly screw-up because she's, you know, incompetent because she has to be called as such, she referred to Elt's (because adding the "on" at the end will make it less obnoxious I guess) guitarist as Davy JONES and not Johnstone.

Mark said Undercover was Stoners first album of all new songs in the 80s?? Tattoo You? Emotional Rescue?? I think a few songs on both albums were written before the '80s, because wasn't Waiting On A Friend from before then? And can't you just say Stones? Who even says Stoners? Seriously you're acting like the Making Copies guy from SNL.

Say It Isn't So, Alan peaked the guys at #2 for two weeks, but H&O were there for four.

Nina said Kenny pulled in Dolly. Of course in a classic story, it was Barry Gibb that came up with the idea of saving Islands In the Stream by making it a duet and he sent out the SOS to Dolly who really didn't know Kenny that well yet.

^ You're being too kind. We only have 125 pages of screw-ups to read about.

It will be interesting to see if they make the same errors they did exactly one year ago this week. You can reference the mistakes on Page 95 of this thread.
