Alan said Bosser had the record w/seven top tenners from BITUSA. Of course he tied Thriller. Technically it's still a record even if he didn't mention "Thriller" because that was the most anyone could get at the time. And it's Bruce Springsteen. Also, Alan said that DeBarge's "Rhythm of the Night", which proceeded their then-current hit, was their first release when they had a few top 40s before that top tenner. Probably meant to say first top ten but what do I know?

During the talk-break after peaking "Once Bitten Twice Shy (at #5) on the last '89 countdown two weeks ago, Nina Quackwood said "It's the VJ Big 40 Countdown 1985".

Alan started the show calling Elt's album 21 "To" 33 First off, it's EltON. Secondly, he just got one word wrong. Haven't you gotten bored with hate listening to this show?

Alan said countdown 'Keep Your Love was the first release from Jermaine's Let's Get Serious. Of course that would be the title cut.

Alan said countdown 'Save Your Love was the first release from Jermaine's Let's Get Serious. Of course that would be the title cut. Actually the word "save" isn't even in the title (it's "You're Supposed To Keep Your Love For Me"). OMG. Also blame Wikipedia (again) for that first release thing.
