Alan said Sir Cliff's career has spanned 'five' decades. Try eight; 50s-20s

In her weekly content screw up Nina said Air Supply was a duo. They were a group until 1985s Just As I Am. Then she said this was the Life Support original version of Lost In Love. Not even close. The original lacked the space age sound effects found on the punched up US hit rerecording they played. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo0mXhoMY5g

OMG, Mark just said Second Time Around was by Robin Gibb and Blue Weaver. He got it confused with Jimmy Ruffin's earlier song!

As in both referring to them as a duo and not a band and always bringing up that Life Support album?

Before anything happens, yes Nina would sometimes say "How Do I Make You Love Me" before a certain Linda Ronstadt song. It's nothing new.

I think the Big 40 writers were moonlighting on the 90s countdown this week...
First, Julie Brown referred to Blessid Union of Souls as an "alternative rock" band. Since when?
Then, in the same breath she introduced the song Sukiyaki by referencing the original artist Kyu Sakamoto. She pronounced his first name as KYE-oh.
And later, she referred to Sheryl Crow's album as "Friday" Night Music Club.
I expect this kind of thing from Nina Blackwood, but here it's unusual.

Alan peaked Second Chance at #1, really six in a talk break that displayed him as Nina. So did the last talk break he did. In fact it was probably like that for the whole show. And wouldn't you know it? It did hit #1...on the AC chart. So this is yet another example of them not reading carefully enough. At least Mark read further down the page and got the #6 peak right.

In their ever changing definition of a hit, Mark said Dixie Cups had a biggie with their original Iko Iko (peaked #20) but Belle Stars remake did reasonably well (#14)?? He also referred to top 20 More by Martika as a stumble??

Special 'guest VJ' Rick Springfield is playing his Celebrate Youth, one of my favorites by Dr. Noah Drake, except that is likely to be the 2nd song on Casey lite in < 1/2 hour. DOH!!

I don't think that matters. It's a weekly thing he's doing now and I remember when he played "Here Comes The Rain Again" the week they did 1984 when that song was in the countdown too. Also they don't take the songs he plays out of rotation for a couple of days like they do for the Big 40 ones.
