There's a huge difference between the changes to Shadoe and the change to Ryan.

When Shadoe took over for Casey, the show was almost exactly the same as it was before Casey left: Same theme, long distance dedications, same chart. The show gradually changed during Shadoe's reign with new themes and new features. (The chart changed, but it would've changed had Casey been doing the show anyway).

When Ryan took over, everything changed: the theme, the style, even the chart. It was basically a new show, with the only similarities being counting down 40 hits.

That being said, I don't like the new AT40 because I don't like the music played. I have heard the Hot AC version of AT40 and enjoy it, so please don't think I have it in for Ryan. :-)

Back to the original topic: I enjoyed CT40 and CH20. I rarely heard CC.

I understand all of those differences, however my point was this individual seemed to be crucifying Ryan because the show changed in many ways that first week. My question was "so what?" AT40 morphed into something almost completely different twice, first when it started using a different chart and second when they introduced the new jingles and features. My point was this, it is the SAME show, it doesn't matter whether it is packaged a little different jingle wise, host wise, etc. This is how it HAD to be to survive, the reason the show had to make all the abrupt changes so quick was that it hadn't evolved in any way, shapr, or form in the years previous when radio was.

Oh, and I dont think you have it in for Ryan. Personal preference is one thing, but to call him selfish and talentless I thought was evidence that it all had to do with the host and it not being Casey Kasem.
