I recently heard a CT40 from 1997. During a story about 10,000 Maniacs, Casey utters a familiar-sounding "Zoiks!" followed by laughter.

Was the jingle "Crunchy, crunchy, crunchy/Nestle Crunch is so crunchy"? I remember at the time Casey doing a tease for a Richard Marx story in which he sings that jingle. It was pretty funny.

Can't remember which one it was specifically, though I know it was a late summer show. Maybe 8/16/1997? I'll have to listen for it.

On 3/26/88 Casey laughed introing and telling a story about an early review of the Beatles' music using such scholarly musical terms as "diatonic" and "mixolydian mode". (This led into George Harrison's "When We Was Fab".)

Casey started laughing in the 4/16/77 show when first teasing and then telling the story of Kansas being booked to play at "Fat Albert's" in Iowa when the place was destroyed first by a fight and then a guy driving his car into it. This story would be repeated several times.

Casey laughs twice in the 11/28/1981 show: during the intro to Centerfold and the intro to The Night Owls.

On the 5/23/92 edition of CT40, Casey tells a real out-of-nowhere "shaggy dog" story that very loosely ties in with "Life Is A Highway." He laughs quite enthusiastically towards the end. Just heard that story, as I started listening to that show earlier today. Was going to post this but figured it was already in here. Sure enough, it was. This is one of Casey's finest moments as a storyteller. You can hear the enthusiasm in his voice. "Life is a fountain?!?!" 😆😅🤣😂 ETA: Turns out I already posted about this, too...LOL. I've been listening to the 1992 Casey's Top 40 shows in order this year. This show has a great set of debuts. I know the upcoming 7/4 show does as well.

I heard a good-natured laugh from Casey in the 5/12/79 show when he read a long distance dedication from a boy named Mark complaining about having to live with braces, and Casey said that everyone who has to "grin through tin" can likely relate. (The requested song was "Fire" by the Pointer Sisters, as Mark said that living through some of the teasing he got was like fire.)

The 2002 AT40/AT20 story on the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra was one of the rare moments where Casey truly couldn't contain himself with laughter. There was another time in early 2003 on AT40, when telling a story on Celine Dion I believe, he laughed when reading a description of many many children sharing a small bedroom, lost composure, and actually uttered an "umm" as he tried to get back on track with the story. I happened to come across that 2002 AT20 show; it was 5/18. I couldn't help but laugh as well, after hearing Casey crack up, even leading into the #8 song, "Hands Clean".

On June 15, 1974 Casey led into the O'Jays "For the Love of Money" with a story about the disc jockey who helped the group get a recording contract after they named themselves for him. Casey then said that the DJ was the "confidential assistant commissioner of sanitation in New York", supervising special cleanup projects in certain areas of NYC, and broke out in laughter. He then finished with "Pardon me for laughing, but that is strange".

In a September 1992 Casey's Top 40 show, Casey chuckles as he says the name, "Toad the Wet Sprocket". I'll be hearing all the September shows soon; been doing a 1992 marathon this year. Speaking of 1992, in the 8/15 show, Casey was doing a teaser for the B-52's, whose hit was coming up in the next segment. He said, "We're counting down now to the latest hit by a band from Georgia that decided it was too hard for them to look glamorous. So, they made sure they looked ugly ever since. Details coming up." And as he said "details", he couldn't contain his laughter.

On the 10-9-1976 show on the outro to Muskrat Love by Captain & Tennille(#32) Casey said something that made me chuckle: muskrat Susie & muskrat Sam were gong to become Mr. & Mrs. Muskrat: and he delivered that straight which is what made me chuckle.
