I seem to remember there was only one week that AT40 played the entire "Humpty Dance" (it had just started slipping down the chart). Other than that one week, they always edited it down (in varying degrees). My memory could be wrong though.  |

Another song that was out around this time that was slightly edited on CT40 was Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison". The word "ho" was remove out of a few lines of the song, IIRC.
Billboard did a story on how several CHR stations dealt with "Humpty Dance". IIRC, most of the complaints of the song were from major market CHRs, while some of the smaller markets either played it unedited, played "the MTV edit", or avoided playing it altogether.
