Unlike ABC Watermark, AM/FM and Premiere both realize the value of linking Casey to AT40 and I agree wholeheartedly with this. If you read Rob's book, you'll see that Shadoe even admitted this.
I tend to emphasize Casey somewhat as I prefer Casey's Top 40 shows to the AT40 shows at the same time and my collection reflects this. Given the choice, I would have preferred the two stay together but things didn't work out that way. Shadoe's not bad (especially when compared to Rick Dees) but in my opinion he will never be remembered as much for his years at AT40 as Casey. Casey has a magical ability to mix a sense of humor and seriousness in his narration that is hard for anyone else to replicate. Perhaps Shadoe and Ryan Seacrest appeal more to the teenage-20s crowd but for me Casey's the one I enjoy.

John, I agree 1000% with you regarding Casey.
However, if you haven't listened to Rick Dees recently, take a listen. He's truly filling the top 40 void that Casey left when Ryan took over. Rick's is now the show for "adults." He even answered a question letter on last weekend's show!!

I agree with Scott. The Weekly Top 40 is far easier to follow than AT40 these days. It is also the only show you can get commercial free--all you have to do is go to Rick.com and you can stream any version of the show at your convenience. He also has a number of other music genres that you can stream as well.
