"A Little More Love" was played on this week's 1980 Classic AT40 as an AT40 extra while Casey talked about Olivia Newton-John's start in music. (Being in a talent show/flying to London, etc.) Nice - even though I know this was coincidental with her passing. (Played before #22) A last minute OPTIONAL EXTRA in memory of ONJ done by Premiere? Apparently so.

The reason I asked about WXXM is because I tuned in recently & they only played the 3-hour version of that week's featured B show.

The reason I asked about WXXM is because I tuned in recently & they only played the 3-hour version of that week's featured B show. WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin is now playing AT40: The 80's 8/9/1986 B show in its Saturday night slot and it is the full 4 hour show this week since the first hour is starting now! Tomorrow morning 8/9/1980 airs on WXXM for the Sunday morning AT40: The 80's time slot!

On the countdown from 8/9/86 which is also airing this weekend,The Monkees had their first top forty hit in eighteen years with "That Was Then,This Is Now"-In February of that year,MTV began airing all 58 episodes of their TV series which ran from 1966-1968-The response was so overwhelming that a concert promoter approached the band to see if they were interested in touring-Mickey Dolenz,Peter Tork,& Davy Jones were immediately on board with that idea-The only holdout was Mike Nesmith-However,he subsequently joined them for a few tour dates. Sadly,Jones,Tork,& Nesmith have since passed leaving Mickey Dolenz as the sole survivor.

WXXM airs the B show on Saturday nights per the list of stations that were posted on this site-Do they air the full four hour show? I have found that they do play all four hours and last night played all four OE's. Sometimes they might skip one, but they do play the optional extras.

WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin is now playing this Sunday morning the August 9, 1980 A show in its AT40: The 80's Sunday morning time slot. This is good even for people living in the Madison, Wisconsin area who are hearing it for the first time after the old AT40: 70's/80's affiliate WMGN Magic 98 FM (WMGN dropped the AT40: 70's/80's shows back in May 2020 a few months before WXXM picked them up) back in August 2017 passed up that new to Premiere AT40: The 80's A show in favor of the B show of August 9, 1986 (and ironically, these are the shows for this 2022 August weekend 5 years later!).

Prediction for next show:
8/31/85
With 1985 having the longest drought for standalones, this show is probably the biggest candidate for this last weekend of August.

This weekend for AT40: The 80's with the 8/18/1984 show we will hear the unedited by Premiere "Eyes Without a Face" by Billy Idol, I even noticed recently a comic strip dealing with Billy Idol: www.gocomics.com/brevity/2022/08/11
