7-3-82 A and 6-27-87 B for the upcoming weekend according to Pete B. on Facebook. Special show TBA. Is the B - 6-27-87 or 7-4-87? 6/27/87, it appears. I messed up and put 7/4/87 a few posts up; that would have made more sense date-wise, but it was played by itself last year.

7/12/80 has been played numerous times on the "AT40" channel from I-Heart Radio-When Casey announced the stations that had joined the "AT40" family that same weekend, the now defunct WNBC in NYC was one of the new affiliates-They carried the show until November 1983. Was WNBC in NYC the station for the New York City market to carry AT40 after NYC's 99X FM dropped the show at the same time?

It's somewhat ironic that in the early 1980s, when most top 40 and other contemporary music radio was emigrating from AM to FM, AT40 did the reverse in the nation's largest radio market for three years.

Adding to that note, Chicago's WLS-AM, which first carried AT40 the weekend of April 3, 1982, thanks to Watermark's merger with ABC. Casey had been on WBBM-FM for 3 years, but continued an AM broadcast in the Windy City until 1987.

Darn - it would have helped if I would have checked the MB's more often than I did - that's three shows I could have heard there. Then again, that would have been quite a lot to listen to in one day. Hopefully, at least one of those shows will air tomorrow (surely the 1987 show will). I could always catch the AT40: The 90s shows on WPNC later in the week, but I imagine that there will be a station or two running them on Monday, if not tomorrow. I'll be checking the AT40 boards more regularly over the next two days.
