That song at #40 by Neil Sedaka and his 16 year old daughter, "Should have never let you go" still makes me shake my head. An odd song for a father and daughter to sing together. I listened to the lyrics to see if it could relate to that relationship, but can't see it. Just like "Somethin' Stupid" by daddy Frank and daughter Nancy (Sinatra), or the huge 1977 #1 country (and #69 pop) hit by father-daughter duo The Kendalls, "Heaven's Just a Sin Away". On father/daughter duets, one usually has to just ignore the relationship to enjoy the song. Same would apply to mother/son duets, if there ever were any.

But for "What a Fool Believes" being released one or two weeks later to follow "Knock on Wood" to the #1 position instead of preceding it, instead of Casey referencing it as having already been played in the outro to "Steal Away" (sounding like it with the Michael McDonald like vocals) he would have played the songs back to back. Listeners would have been able to compare them a lot better. And the other #1 from the archives creates the only time while they were playing the #1 hits from the 60s and 70s when an artist had the #1 song the same week as their #1 archive hit was played.

Fact about Simply Red at #40 with "Holding Back the Years": The lead singer of the group is nicknamed "Red" since he has red hair.

On the countdown from 5/10/80,Casey mentioned that Andy Gibb was scheduled to star in the sequel to "Grease" which had the working title "More Grease"-I just came across a Wikipedia article on Andy & it made no mention of him appearing in that particular movie-In 1982,"More Grease" was retitled "Grease 2" & starred Michelle Pfeiffer & Maxwell Caufield.

If Andy was considered for the lead male role, I have a feeling his worsening drug spiral in the '80s put the end to it. Maxwell Caulfield probably wishes Andy had gotten the part!

My computer was being really wonky, so I wasn't able to get on this board until now today. Any other station that anyone knows of running 1986 today (I'm thinking probably not, but I thought I'd ask anyway).
