Does this mean WXXM tomorrow morning will play the next weekend's AT40: The 80's slated show of 10/10/1987 and play it 2 Sunday mornings in a row? UPDATE: WXXM Rewind 92.1 stays with 10/9/1982 for Sunday morning's AT40: The 80's airing. WFMX aired 10/9/1982 this morning, then aired 1987 this evening, only it was 10/17/1987.

KOSF appears to be playing 1985. Not 1982 OR 1983…? That might have been an error. The replay at 8 PM PT had KOSF playing 1982. They always play the same show in the morning and at night.

Prediction for next show:
10/24/81
This is the front runner as 1981 has had the longest drought and it was last aired in 2015. 10/20/84 last aired the same year making it a dark horse candidate since 1984 was featured 4 weeks previous.

The October 23-24, 2021 weekend could be October 22, 1983 last played in 2017. Maybe Halloween weekend could be October 31, 1981 if not November 1, 1980 with November 7, 1980 possibly on deck for the first weekend of November 2021 (when they start the Christmas B shows).

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 10/24/81 2nd Guess - 10/27/84
1981 should be a good bet for one of the last two weeks in October...

The KOLA FM site on Columbus Day hasn't posted the October 23-24, 2021 AT40: The 80's show details as of yet.

This happened once before this year with the show 2/20/1988 when "Some Kind Of Lover" replaced "Prove Your Love".

Just sent a Facebook message to KOLA FM about not yet posting the October 23-24, 2021 weekend AT40: The 80's show details on their site yet. Hope they respond, and I hope they are not about to drop the show after the October 15-16, 2021 weekend!

I'm reminded of a discussion we had on here some time back regarding the advance notice of show selection and how it sometimes causes confusion on what's being played next. It's not a bad thing if the following weekend's selection isn't released yet. I think because this practice has been happening for quite some time, to the point where it's expected, and when expectations fall short, you see things like...

I'm inclined to think we'll hear 10/24/81 the weekend of October 23rd/October 24th.

It's not a bad thing if the following weekend's selection isn't released yet. I totally agree with this. I'm actually hoping that they don't release the following week's selection anytime this week (or, at the earliest, Friday). I don't really like knowing what the show from practically two weeks in the future is when I haven't even heard the coming weekend's show (yes, I know I could just not read this thread, but it's one that I regularly read - force of habit, if you will). We usually don't know what the 70s show will be until the Monday before - no reason the same couldn't apply to the 80s one. But that is just my opinion and nothing more.

Remember way back in the day when jdelachjr2002 would reveal the next weekend's shows right around midnight ET each Sunday night/Monday morning? Seems like it was right around the time WQSR's airing of the show was ending. Then it was Mike, and then billyonaire, who would announce it on Fridays (which I didn't mind). jdelachjr2002 and billyonaire both seemed to retire from announcing, and stopped posting on this board altogether at the same time. Maybe being the guy to announce next week's shows is not a real enviable role?
