I´m a bit surprised about the timing of this week´s #1 on the country chart: "I Need More Of You" from the Bellamy Brothers´ album "Restless" was already in the Austrian charts in September 1984.

Let's hope the first weekend of May 2021 for AT40: The 80's is 5/1/1982, we'll find out at least later today when KOLA reveals it.

Literally the only other possibilities are 5/3/86 and 5/7/88. 1988 is kind of iffy seeing that we just had a 1988 standalone not long ago. 1986 aired 3 years ago as a 'B' but was last played by itself in 2010.
The clear winner should be 1982 having had only one spin and 13 years ago at that.

5/7/1988 could be a B show if 5/1/1982 is played.

Agree with this -- especially given that Premiere's schedule this year seems to be heavy on shows that haven't been aired in a long time (e.g. 2011 or earlier in many cases), and that goes for both the 70's and 80's series. Glad they are doing this--it's often made me scratch my head when they will repeat a show from 3 years ago over one that hasn't been played for a decade or longer. Things would seem to be lined up really well for 5/1/82 to air a week from Saturday/Sunday, and I think you are both probably right about the 'B' show possibilities. There may be a slight possibility (albeit very slight) of 4/25/87 as a 'B' also (and you can't totally rule out that being offered as an 'A', but that would be a pretty odd choice for the first weekend in May).

Weekend of 4/23: 4/28/84! www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/04-28-84.pdfLast played 2015 w/extras: Hour #1: "Jump (For My Love)" - The Pointer Sisters Hour #2: "Love Will Show Us How" - Christine McVie Hour #3: "Self Control" - Laura Branigan Hour #4: "What Is Love" - Howard Jones Optional extras this weekend will remain the same as the 2015 airing. Interesting tidbit about this show: it was first aired on May 5-6, 2007, making it the fifth-ever show aired by Premiere in the now 14-year run of AT40 - the 80's.

And there it is -- the last remaining show that previously aired before 2009 (and therefore the last one in the Ed McMann era). Its only airing to date was May 3-4, 2008, with the following optional extras: "Rosanna" Toto (#59) "Crimson & Clover" Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (#63; debuted) "Caught Up In You" 38 Special (#82; debuted) "Tainted Love" Soft Cell (#48 - 16th week in the Hot 100!) There will of course, be an entirely new set of extras this time. And there would appear to be a lot of candidates below the 40 in that week's Hot 100. Also of note in this countdown--Asia debuts in the 40 with "Heat of the Moment" up at #20! How many other songs debuted that high in the 80's? "Thriller" (also #20) comes to mind, as does "Eye Of the Tiger" (#19) and Diana Ross' "Upside Down" (#10). BTW for those interested, it looks like after 5/1/82 there will be but one show left that has yet to be emceed by Larry Morgan--that show is 6/23/84. And it would figure to be a good possibility that show will be on the schedule a couple months from now.

"Man On The Corner" Genesis
"Rosanna" Toto
"Let It Whip" Dazz Band
"When It's Over" Loverboy
If none of the extras are supposed to be the same then replace "Rosanna" with Franke & The Knockouts' "Without You (Not Another Lonely Night)".

And upon checking, I see that that particular show - 11/20/82 - also hasn't aired in any capacity since 2010. Maybe that will be coming down the pipe when we get to that point of the year?

Small nitpick: That actually would be for the week of 5/1/2021.

It has to be either that show or 11/13/82, which last aired in 2009! November 1982 shows have been few and far between over the last 12 years.
