If the 1985 shows continue on the 2016 schedule, the next to come up would be 7/27. I remember Premiere airing 1985 rather heavily that year. What about 8/24/1985? It certainly could be played this year, as it aired in 2010, and also as a "B" in 2016.

I have to say tha I am enjoying the 6/13/87 show more than I thought I would, as by 1987 my interest in the pop harts was definitely waning. But there are some good 'lost 45s' on this chart: "Soul City"; "Sweet Sixteen"; "Endless Nights"; "Heat Of the Night"; "Every Little Kiss"; "Jammin' Me", and "Right On Track", to mention seven. And, another plus, NOTHING by the supremely awful Samantha Fox!

Not to worry-Motley Crue ushered in some "Girls,Girls,Girls "at #35 Can't hear that Crue 'Classic Rock' staple without thinking of a 'Public Service Announcement' from Peter Griffin: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_URGZ3QQjE

It's been 33 years since I heard "Fascinated" by Company B...
...and I could've waited another 33 years....

After listening to the 87 show this morning on my run, I had the "ta-da" moment on why we had the debate this week between the 85 an 87 show. The first LDD song (for a wedding) was Suddenly by Billy Ocean. Casey mentioned that it hit #4 on the June 15, 1985 show, which is the show we have next week. A nice way to tie it all together.

For those who miss hearing AT40: The 80's on WMGN Magic 98 in Madison, Wisconsin: It was back on June 1, 2014 (Several months after WLS 94.7 FM Chicago dropped AT40: The 70's for the first time) that I was visiting an antique shop in Monroe, Wisconsin and over the radio speaker WMGN Magic 98 had AT40: The 80's on (That chart was the May 30, 1987 AT40 chart episode and they were up to "Every Little Kiss" by Bruce Hornsby and the Range in the first hour following a local commercial break. That's when I first noticed WMGN Magic 98 playing AT40: The 80's).
By the way, for those who wonder what stations played 6/13/1987 and not 6/15/1985: I know KOOL 108 Minneapolis/St. Paul, Sunny 105.9 Orlando, and WVLI Kankakee went with 6/13/1987 AT40: The 80's for this week.

^Must have been June 1, 2014 BTW, I think you meant 6/15/85, not 6/15/80. Just updated the info.

"Soul City," yeah, that's definitely a lost/underrated song. There may have been one local station that played it, but AT40 was probably the only place I heard the song back then. Shame.
Come to think of it, AT40 was the only place I heard quite a number of songs in the 80s....

This week at #35: Motley Crue with "Girls Girls Girls". The long-time Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee has spent the last two years recording his new album "Andro". Here are two singles from this album - "Knock Me Down" and "Tops":

I know Prince isn’t on the Countdown this week but today he would’ve turned 62. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since he died.
Btw I also like Fascinated but admit it hasn’t aged well.
