While I know many of us will be busy with family and holiday celebrations next weekend, I know many of us will also be looking for the few stations that are likely to be airing AT40 the 70s and 80s as usual. Whenever Christmas Eve falls on a Saturday and Christmas Day a Sunday, it is always a time when many shows do not get heard. The last time this occured was 2005, and I remember it was very tough to find stations airing Part 1 of the AT20 Year End countdown that week. I emailed a few affiliates and will post here as I get answers. If anyone else knows of any airings, please post! I have only heard back from one station so far, WMXY. 70s stations airing 1979 show: 80s stations airing 1987 show WMXY (Monday night online airing only. The Sunday morning airing will be a Casey Christmas special from 9-Noon)

WMXY (Monday night online airing only. The Sunday morning airing will be a Casey Christmas special from 9-Noon) I had a feeling they would only have the Monday night airing. (If I were them, I would have chosen to air the show on Saturday morning just for that one week.)

Brett, thanks so much for that info!!! I listen regularly to the station, and I was wondering if they would carry it, and you have anwered that for me. I do miss WBBG (their sister station) that used to play the 70's on Tuesday evening, but stopped that a few months ago.

2CA Canberra Australia continuing to air AT40 this weekend at its usual 4.00pm Sunday time (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time) but they will be playing a special Christmas edition of the show. No mention of which year/date though.

I would think WWIS will air the 80s show as normal since it would be on Friday the 23rd. They also carry the 70s show but that's more of a maybe because it would be on Christmas Day.

I would be surprised if WQSR doesn't air the '87 show...

Wahoo,I'm inclined to think that WQSR will air the 12/26/87 show this Sunday night.

I feel the same way, since I see no point for any station to be airing 100% Christmas music at that hour (8PM local time), regardless of format.

I e-mailed WCRZ to ask them, and they will be airing it Saturday night. If last year's Christmas Day airing is any indication, look for them to have all four extras in the broadcast (and they might finish early too).

I wonder if WODS will still be airing Xmas music or will they play the show? After all, they air the AT40 - 70's show at midnight ET on Monday (which in this case is the 26th)

I would be shocked if JACK doesn't play the '87 show. Computers have no religion or worries.

I just e-mailed the program director at KONO in San Antonio. Great news. They will be playing the 79 show on Christmas morning.

I still have not heard from WQSR. WOCL in Orlando will not be airing the 70s on Christmas morning, I keep hearing ads for their own local Christmas countdown, the 'Ho Ho Ho 105'
