I hope many of you will tune in this Sunday afternoon from 1pm-5pm EST for my first EVER shift on a real radio station! The station is WLLW 99.3/96.3 FM in Geneva NY. You can listen online at: fingerlakesdailynews.com/pages/index.cfm?id=3Hopefully my picture will come up on the site soon. I have to turn in the one I like best... You can also call me toll free to make a request... 1-866-231-9255 Its a classic rock format with the lean towards heavier rock... Not metal, just more Zeppelin, Queen, AC/DC, Def Leppard side VS lighter like America, Chicago, etc... Make sure if you call, you let me know who you are!!!! |

Congrats on the gig! I was able to live my dream on air from 2005-2008, and board op AT20 from 2005-2006. It was the best job I ever had and I miss it every day!

For those that could not catch it, he did a fine job. Sounded like a seasoned veteran. Had some good quips about artists, songs and albums. I will predict bigger and better things for JM (his on air initials) in the near future.

Let's hope you have the powers! I had fun and with the exception of the first few breaks, I got comfortable quick. I plan on charging full speed ahead with this, countdowns and radio career in general!

You can also call me toll free to make a request... 1-866-231-9255 Hey Jeff, I tried to call this afternoon but couldn't get through. Apparently the number is a catch-all for all 5 or 6 stations. When I punched '2' for requests, it went to voicemail. You may want to add your extension here to route requests for The Wall directly to you. By the way, my all-time favorite classic rocker is by the Amboy Dukes (early Ted Nugent), Journey To The Center of the Mind. I hope that one's on your station's playlist.  |

Sorry Pete, yeah, I noticed earlier that it forwarded, I'll look into that one. But for now... just PM me or post in this thread. Hopefully you're still tuned in. We do have that Amboy Dukes tune. I remember my first on air shift - the one in college in 1978 - as well as my first "real" radio station job - 1979 - I remember how nervous and anxious I was to get started - so I can relate to how you must've felt the first time you went "live". There will always be that yearning deep down inside to do it...just one more time.....  |

BTW EVERYONE!
The PD has fixed the phone issues and THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON there should be no problem with calling and making a request!
If there is a problem, please send me a PM on here or a message in this instead.

Make sure to listen at 1pm EST and also make sure you call in, According to my boss, the phones will be unlocked. If they aren't, I'll be signed into here, so post on this thread or give me a PM with a request!
