Random observation: While "My Melody Of Love 2 1/2 years later sounded 1974-contemporary (to my ears anyway), Bobby Vinton's "Every Day Of My Life" sounds like it could have as easily been recorded in 1962 as 1971-72.

According to Pete's AT40 The 70s volume there are supposed to be two listener questions in the show from Mar 18, 1972. I'm listening on WSQL and we're into the third hour and so far Casey has not addressed any questions. Are there really two questions in this show, and if so, where are they asked?

About 'one-hit wonders' that hit #1. (edit) Second one just 'teased', what was biggest-selling record to not make the 40.

3/18/72, with mono to stereo conversion by Ken Martin, now starting on KLFM Australia. (Note time change due to DST).

I think what’s interesting about this show is Casey mentions that “American Pie” (at that point) held the record for the longest song in the top 40. Yet the actual single (when it came out), faded out on Side “A” and faded back in again on Side “B”, which (technically) would not make it the longest single (I used to have it).

Say, I was wondering - what stations will be playing the 1975 show this weekend?

WPAC playing 1975 - on-demand stream should be available (probably cutting before or during the #1 song).
