Correct. The 1970 show will be in stereo. I noticed that "Lola" at #36 used the "cherry cola" version and I'm wondering if the mono 1970 show used the original "Coca Cola" one. (I assume that the "Coca Cola" might be hard to find these days.) Original version of the show used the cherry version. Only the album version says Coca-Cola. All mono versions of the song (single versions) say cherry. If you heard Coca-Cola on the radio back in the day then the station took their copy from the LP. The version I use for the mono2stereo shows is a combination of the 2. Here's the 45cat write-up about the single.

Here's a hint. One of these is correct. And I'll let you know there are 5 mono2stereo creations to air as "A" shows between now and the end of the year. Plus that special thing I mentioned a few months ago. That means 9/22/79 is a 'B' lock, right? Sorry, I'm fresh out of hints. HAHA

I got a $1 and I seem to recall them being 99 cents. I know I always had to find some change to cover the tax. How much would 45's at discount stores cost back in the 1970 day (Woolworth's, Murphy's, Kresge, etc. - besides local record stores then upstart record store chains like Musicland, Sam Goody, and Camelot Music?) My guess: around 50 cents? I bought many, many 45s at K-Mart all through the '70s, mostly for '74 cents. 'My' K-Mart wa within 'bikeable' range back in my pre-driving days. That's what they were charging in 1970. Surprisingly, a local department store, Levy's (now part of Macy's via many mergers and acquisitions) undercut K-Mart by a dime: .64 cents. Levy's, though, was a car trip, so I don't have as many 45s from there. Both prices were plus sales tax, of course. AZ has always had state sales tax, like most (I think 41) states. Tax rate then was around 5-6%. Now it's around 9%. I almost never bought 45s from the few local record stores that existed in my area then (no chain record stores were here in '70), as they usually charged .98/.99 cents plus tax.

The question is, would you have noticed the edit if I hadn't used the incorrect position jingle by mistake? I would not have. Took a few seconds for the 'number 38' to register in my mind as an error.

9/22/1973 was last played 2 years ago. How about 9/25/1971? Or maybe 9/29/1973. Here's a hint. One of these is correct. And I'll let you know there are 5 mono2stereo creations to air as "A" shows between now and the end of the year. Plus that special thing I mentioned a few months ago. And what about hoping the yet to be played by Premiere 11/24/1979 AT40 show gets played on AT40: The 70's in November 2021?

Talking in Your Sleep by Crystal Gayle #1 country 7 movie songs 5 disco songs story Sesame Street Fever (takeoff of Saturday Night Fever), cookie monster and Big Bird Sesame Street made its presence felt in both of this weekend’s 70s shows, with “Rubber Duckie” on the 1970 chart. Around 1978 I was a regular Sesame Street viewer, and had several records from or associated with the show. That disco record wasn’t one of them, but I did have one called “The Count’s Countdown”. I wonder who or what show might have inspired or influenced that?

I'm gonna guess 9/29/73 -- another show that hasn't been aired in a really long time (2008), but 9/25/71 wouldn't surprise me. 9/22/73 would seem to be the least likely of those three.

If this coming weekend is 9/25/1971 for the A show, then maybe 9/29/1973 can be for the October 2-3, 2021 weekend.

What is the name of Peteski's board? I do a FB search for AT40 and it doesn't come up. Try searching for Peteski.

According to a post on Facebook by Pete B. this weekend will be 9-19-70 A and 9-16-78 B. What is the name of Peteski's board? I do a FB search for AT40 and it doesn't come up. Not a 'board', but a group. American Top 40--the '70s.

If this coming weekend is 9/25/1971 for the A show, then maybe 9/29/1973 can be for the October 2-3, 2021 weekend. That would be a bit unorthodox, but possible. There's the fact that it hasn't been played since 2008 working for it, but 9/16/1972 hasn't been aired by Premiere since 2007 and it was again bypassed this year (though we did get it from Sirius XM last weekend.) In any case, we have plenty of 1973 options for October-December. Only one show from the fourth quarter of 1973 has been played as an A in the last two years.

Sorry, I'm fresh out of hints. HAHA Or maybe the 'B' show is 1976!! It's gotta be 9/18/76 airing in 2015, right? No way it would be a 2020 9/25/76 repeat?? 10/2/76 is a special. Could they jump ahead to 10/9/76? The timing with the last airing, 2017 is about right. 9/25/71 'A' and 'B' 9/18/76 (?) are confirmed. The 'B' shows are becoming borderline ridiculous since this comes after the recent 9/4/76 airing. www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/09-25-71.pdfwww.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/09-18-76.pdf
