I was surprised by Casey's pronunciation of "Himalaya" in his story of "What is Life". I don't think I have ever heard it pronounced any way except Him-a-LAY-a until today, but Casey said something like "Hi-MAAL-ya." I've heard 'Hi-MAAL-ya' as an alternate pronunciation. Similar to 'Car-i-BEE-an'/'Ca-RIB-ee-an'.

My guess for the AT40: The 70's weekend of 3/27 - 3/28/2021: 3/29/1975 (as the A show entry with a 1976 or 1977 B show to go with it).

For some reason, I always thought "Temptation Eyes" was a much bigger hit than it really was. But in reality, it was because it was such a slow mover on the charts, and received airplay for a rather lengthy period of time. Dead on. Their next single ("Sooner Or Later") peaked six spots higher (9 vs 15) but spent 7 fewer weeks in the Hot 100 (11 vs 18) and 2 fewer in the 40 (9 vs 11). Then came "Two Divided By Love" in late 1971.

Given some of the changes due to Daylight Savings Time this past week, what time does AT40 the 70's start tonight on KLFM?

Given some of the changes due to Daylight Savings Time this past week, what time does AT40 the 70's start tonight on KLFM? According to the stations guide here, this week it moves to 9 PM Eastern for three weeks. Then April 9 (second Friday of that month) it starts at 10 PM and stays there through September.

My guess for the AT40: The 70's weekend of 3/27 - 3/28/2021: 3/29/1975 (as the A show entry with a 1976 or 1977 B show to go with it). Highly unlikely -- 3/29/75 was just played as an 'A' show a year ago. I like 3/30/74 for next weekend -- hasn't been aired in any shape or form since 2010.

On this week's presentation from 3/20/71,"Surrender" by Elvis Presley was played as an "AT40 Special" because it was the number one song 60 years ago this week-It was based on an Italian song called "Torna A Surriento" which translates roughly as "Come Back To Sorrento"-A year earlier,Elvis reached the top spot with a song that was based on another well known Italian standard "O Sole Mio"-That was retitled "It's Now Or Never".

April 12 (played as an "A" in 2017 and a "B" in 2019) isn't out of the question either, nor is April 26, last played in 2018. Of those, April 19 would probably be the best bet, as, lately, they seem to be trying not to play shows that were last done less than six years ago (I know this for a fact, as it seems like it's been forever since I've been able to post a recycled commentary).

While the town isn't far from the border, the part of Montana that it's coverage area reaches doesn't have a large population. I was surprised that the first Canadian station wasn't in an area with a big population on the U.S. side of the border, like Vancouver, Windsor, or St. Catherines/Niagara Falls.
