KMXZ is no longer running AT40 The 70s. The previous two weeks they played the full 80s show. Last night they played the 80s show, but only the last three hours.

Based on two weeks of the full show and one week of the 3 hour show, it's hard to gauge. I'll monitor it a couple more weeks and hopefully we'll have a better picture of which version they're playing.

Catching the show on Smooth Radio right now (don't know if I'll stay on for the whole thing, though) - "Smooth Radio" is a very apt description of their signal! Looks like they're throwing in random songs from the year being broadcast in place of commercials, and they just played the first Premiere extra a minute ago - maybe they play all of them?

I have another friend who listened to this particular station - he said they play all the optional extras, as well as "other" songs from the countdown year in place of commercials.

Hey pizzzzza :-) Have had word that radio station 6IX in Perth, Western Australia, will soon be airing AT40 The 70's! This station is currently 3 hours behind Sydney time. Will advise when the starting date is. In the meantime the listen live for 6IX is here: www.6ix.com.au/player/Thanks for that new station info Frankster! Please let me know dates and times when you find out, ok? Thanks! Yep sure! Just got a further update with the dates and times for 6IX, now confirmed. All times are AWST (Australian Western Standard Time), which is GMT + 8 hours. First play: Sundays 4.00pm to 7.00pm Repeat play: Wednesdays 2.00am to 5.00am Commences this Sunday, January 22nd. www.6ix.com.au for the site but note new address for the Listen Live player. It's now at www.6ix.com.au/streaming/stream.htm(not a bad one either! 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo) Optional Extras: Not sure on it but as 6IX is one of 2CA Canberra's network of stations who also carry AT40 The 70's, they don't play them, so probably safe to assume 6IX won't either. Also, Western Australia does not have Daylight Saving.

There are 2 questions about the shows in Australia and New Zealand:
1.- Premiere voice ( Larry) is axed everytime , they have an especific intro and outro, right?
2.- Is there any The 80´s show station Down Under?.
Thanks.

Thanks. 1. Nope. Apart from 2NUR in Newcastle, Australia, the shows including Larry's bits are played intact. 2. No station in Australia running The 80's yet.

Maybe i'm a bit naive but is there any chance to get from PremRad the list of international stations playing AT 40 of the 70's and 80's or is it just too confidential ?

Maybe we should ask them for the list of domestic (U.S.) stations too, in case we're missing any! There are several international stations on the list already, though - including the couple just added. As these are all commercial (i.e. general public) stations, they're fine. It's ones that are not "general public" stations where confidentiality enters the picture.

I wonder why there would be any kind of secrecy behind the lists of stations broadcasting the show? One can go onto Seacrest's AT40 site and see the affiliates by state, by country, and view the hours the show airs. Any extra online listener "ears" on the classic AT40's ads would seem to be a plus. I would think that the list of current AT40's affiliates could prove more damaging if a new show wanted to challenge. NOT to put pizzzzza out of business !

AT40 has a very stable affiliate base so updates don't have to take place regularly I wouldn't think. That could be the issue with shows like the 70s and 80s. It could also have something to do with there is no official website for them. But I know Backtrax USA has its own and used to have a station list. When it's distribution with Premiere ended and the site was finally updated and the station listings went away. I think this is a case of my first statements.
