Saturday 2 pm - 6 pm (Show REPEATS Sunday at 2 pm) KZOY - Sunny Radio - Where It's Always In The 80s - Sioux Falls/Brandon SD 92.1 FM and 1520 AM The new station link streaming link: radio.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=KZOY New streaming as I am listening to WT40-80'S today as on their website: streamdb3web.securenetsystems.net/v5/KZOYA better stream window that shows process of a song (elapsed time) playing when there's no radio show. I don't know if the old link still works after Amazing 80's is over 2:00 PM FT. I just compared the two streaming links, and it came to the same page.

It looks like we have a new "AT40 - The '80s" affiliate in my area: 96.1 WSRS in Worcester, MA. This station is in the same market as WORC, which had been a longtime "AT40 - The '70s" affiliate, but appears to have dropped the show as of July 1. There does not seem to be any obvious connection between one station in the market dropping the '70s version of classic AT40 and another picking up the '80s version. The two stations are not under common ownership, and do not really compete directly with one another (they do not have the same format at all). Or does Premiere not allow unaffiliated stations in the same market to carry the '70s and '80s shows separately? It is possible WORC lost its contract to carry Classic AT40 because WSRS gave Premiere a better deal?
A couple of weeks ago, I had mentioned to my wife that WORC was no longer carrying the '70s AT40s. She thought she had recently heard an old AT40 broadcast on another station, but couldn't remember which one, and hadn't noted any further details. I was thinking that maybe another station had picked up the '70s shows. WROR (licensed to Framingham, MA but markets itself as a Boston station) seemed like the most likely candidate, and I had been watching their web site and periodically tuning in to them on the weekends, but had no luck.
Then, on Friday night, while listening to the radio on a Walkman, my eight-year old son told me that he heard an ad for "AT40 - The 80s" on WSRS. He didn't catch the time, but I heard WSRS playing this week's 8/1/81 show this morning around 11:30 - 11:45. Based on where they were in the countdown, it looks they ran the show from 8:00 - 12:00. I checked WSRS' web site, but I couldn't find any mention of AT40.

It sure would be nice if we had 100% confirmation of the show on the station's website. I do see that they run Delilah weeknights, as well as Tom Kent on Saturdays - maybe Friday evenings will be AT 40 - 80s. It would make for a nice addition to the list.

KOOI once again cut off the top few songs including #1 yesterday. I've listened to most of their broadcasts over the last 2 months and they seem to cut off the countdown before it's finished most of the time. Shame since this broadcast fits my late Sunday afternoon barbecue schedule perfectly. It doesn't get any better than listening to AT40 on the wireless wi-fi speaker on my deck, as I grill steaks on the bbq

Now that WTIC-FM has dropped "AT40-The 80's",perhaps WDRC-FM should pick it up-Perhaps it would be a good idea to e-mail program director Grahame Winters to see what she thinks. This would be a perfect fit for WDRC-FM. Here's her email address. gwinters@drcfm.com The only time I'd listen to WTIC-FM these days was on Sunday between 6-9am. Now, I took them off the presets in my car, no reason to listen to them at all now, their playlist rotation is horrible. I knew it was only a matter of time before they dropped Casey, since it didn't fit into their format whatsoever.

For my recording of WWIS AM broadcast Friday Afternoon, I stop my time recording and continue manually recording until the end of the radio show.

I had heard WSRS playing AT40 - The '80s last Sunday morning, not Saturday; I don't know if they have another airing. I just checked them and they seem to be playing Jim Brickman's show right now, not AT40. Still no mention of AT40 on their web site. Not sure if they're just slow updating it or if maybe they're only giving AT40 - The '80s a test drive?
On the subject of "slow updating your web site", meanwhile, WORC still has AT40 - The '70s listed on their schedule, even though it seems pretty clearly gone (right now they are in normal over-the-air mode, no AT40).

Regarding this station: I was attentively listening, Ago-03-2013, and discovered that they started to play the show at 11:53 PM (EST); they played AT40 06-02-1984 without commercials and with all the optional extras, though the optional extras were edited (all of them). On their facebook page they say that an AT40 replay can be heard on Sundays at 10:00 PM (EST).

I meant to check WSRS this past Sunday morning, to see if they are were running AT40 in the same time slot they apparently ran it in the previous week (8:00 - 12:00), but I completely forgot to.
Another poster reported that WSRS was playing the first hour of the show between 8:00 and 9:00, however, and played the optional extra for that hour (see page 844 of the '80s thread). My wife was also out and about on Sunday morning and told me that she heard WSRS playing AT40; later in the day, she saw a list of the songs from the 8/6/88 show that I had left up on the computer and commented that she had heard WSRS playing that show earlier, since she remembered hearing a number of the songs.
I think there has been some speculation on the board as to whether WSRS might run the show in another time slot, but I have never actually heard them running it (or heard any suggestion that anyone else has actually heard them running it) any time other than 8:00 - 12:00 on Sunday.

So in other words, I guess I should just go ahead and add WSRS to the Sunday morning programming from 8 am - Noon EST?

I would list it as Sunday 8 AM to 12:00 noon. The first opt song was around 8:55 AM. I don't know about the other 3 opt songs was played.
