Well, at least we didn't hear the 6/12/93 show the last several years. During that time they did play 6/24/89, but it was paired with 6/24/95. There was also a June 1997 Summer Special in the seldom-changing rotation the last few years that hasn't been played this year.

I didn't listen to the bonus parts. What I was referring to is that the last two years 6/24/89 and 6/24/95 were played the same week. |

About to enter hour four of the 1989 show.. Will let everyone know what date the bonus material is from after this show ends. It's possible it could be bonus material that may be played in full next week. Stay tuned.

Apps are back on Apple / iTunes but on android still down. new version 1.0.10 updated on June 09, 2017 on android Avoid newest version 1.0.10 from android, doesnt work, I am using now old 0.7 version to listen to current HAC and works, also work 0.8 and 0.9 |

Apparently nobody wanted to listen to last weeks 90s show all the way through to see..lol Me personally, I'll listen to Rick's 80s show if Premiere is offering an early 80s show (which it's doing this weekend) and I'll listen to the "D2K" show. For some reason, not much of a desire to listen to the 90s show unless it's 1990 or 1991. |

Now when I open the app I'm once again getting the error "Unfortunately Hit Music has stopped" Probably temporary. I hope it should return by tomorrow

In the 2001 show, he played clips of songs about body parts. Got the eyes and head but what about hair. Maybe the Cowsills song called "Hair" was too old. Also played clips of songs about celestial things. Leading into "Drops of Jupiter" but he did not play "Venus and Mars Rock Show" though he did play "Venus". But could have gotten 3 planets instead of just the 2. Mentioned how Train was about to go back on tour in July. They are on tour now and Jupiter was their last song when they played here last weekend.
Stereo MCs have their biggest hit "Connected" on the 90s show and a clip of a song that was #1 in the UK on this show. Never charted in the US however.

I have sent a message to Rick Dees Facebook site telling him newest update for android crashes.
Well, if you want to install an older version, first you need to disconnect your gmail account on the mobile, because updatings of app are automatic and when you install an older versio of an app, the updating takes you again to 0.10 version .
Well, uninstall the rick dees app, and in the device settings you have to allow the device to install apps from outside the google play store, because the older version of the rick dees app is now considered an external app.
Then you only have to make a google search of something like this rick dees hit music version 1.0.9 apk ( it is very important apk, that means app for android), avoid the searching of the same app for iTunes. You can also search for BYO Channel version 1.0.9 or 1.0.8 or 1.0.7 apk
That google search you need to do it via a PC , then once you have the file of the app, very important, ending with apk , you have to connect your device to the PC and copy and paste the apk app file into the mobile device, inside the SD card, inside the internal memory of the device.
It is important to configurate the device allowing running apps from outside ( that part maybe is inside the security submenu of the device).
With the app inside again, you go to your file folder in the device and look for the file and install it again.
But once you have installed again the older version of the app, you have to be carefull with the app updatings, because the system will take you again to the newest version , the one that crashes.
Keep the older version save in your PC and inside your mobile device and whenever the lastest version updates and erases the version that works, repeat the procedure .
I avoid updating disconnecting my gmail account temporaly in the device , so the device cant update, listen to the shows, then connecting again my gmail account and play cat and mouse with the terrible newest update . Hoping they read my messages alerting about this cr*p and hoping next update version will run properly.
It is all so rick dees chaos. I hope this helps.
Edit: before allowing external apps in the settings, try to install the older version and run it, the app is already known by the device and it is not external after all .
Edit : before disconnecting the gmail email again and again, go to the app settings and in the configuration of the dees app, select the option of no run updates of that app, once you have reinstalled the older version.

These are lot of steps to configure old version of dees app. I may have to check on those much later..
Maybe I may wait if latest version should need to be fixed on android. If it still doesn't work within at least more than a week, then I will use older version based on bear's instructions.

The only way they notice the latest version updated is useless is commenting or rating the app via the app on google play itself, because it could take time to update again.
Or writting to the email address of byo channel support, I have sent emails to rick support and byo channel support, I hope there is someone out there...
