With the CHR song this week finally falls out from CHR chart, now chart on both formats are clone songs but with different peaks (not counting for recurrent songs staying chart longer, and other format song dropped off from chart).
Yes, I heard that there is new app Rick Dees is promoting, maybe that explains why the rick.com site doesn't update for designs.
April 30, 1994 WT40 R&R chart is actually April 15, 1994. May 7, 1994 WT40 is normal: R&R chart April 29, 1994. I'm not sure if Rick Dees mention last week had a special, but I guess not. referring chart movements last week only based R&R chart.

Tried the new app today and it's great. Listened to the 5/5/01 show. Only thing I don't like is that you only get a limited amount of segments you can skip within a time frame. So say you wanna hear just the final hour.. You can't skip directly to that. You have to hear the segments before that.

For example, I was into the top 15 and my player froze up. So I went back into the channel and it went back to very beginning and I could only skip the first 5 segments which left me in hour two segment two and I wasnt about to hear several segments over again to get back to where I originally was in the countdown.

So we encountered the 2K series one week after it began. As far as year selections, it is much like the 90s where certain years seem to be favored over others and it is not a guarantee that all years of the decade will be featured. Btw, all the shows have been the CHR version except the 2 shows from 2009 were the Hot AC version. Will have to see if this series gets updated in the app when the 80s and 90s series get updated on rick.com or Thursday nights. Wow they played the WT40 challenge 4 times in the same segment. Never heard them play it that many times. Still not sure who it is though! Nice live acoustic version of "Drops of Jupiter". You know between that and Daft Punk just before Train, you had back to back songs by artists also on the current show.

KKMK is repeating the 2008 show this week. Kind of disappointed; I was looking forward to the 2001 show. Oh well, such is life. That's OK; I didn't hear the show last week, so I'll listen to it, trying to put out of my mind the fact that this was about the time that my then-gf and I broke up EDIT: Now they seem to be running the correct show - playing "Don't Tell Me" by Madonna at #25.

So since this the first time we've gotten to discuss the 2000s shows ever, and this is the first go around with the series I can predict again which is always fun. I'm gonna predict either 5/4/02 or second guess 5/6/00 for next weeks presentation. I would love to hear the year 2000 featured a lot. So far none have come up but I hope that changes.

Can someone check if there is a bonus content on the App after the D2K show? I am hearing a bonus december content. Thanks
On the other hand, on segment 4 of hour 1 Rick starts mentioning about the 1st week of may, isnt the real date of this show May 05, 2001 CHR?

And, for the last two segments, they went back to the 2008 show. Whatever...

Judging by the fact that Madonna is at #25 that week, it matches its position on May 5, 2001 according to my record of that show, so this is correct.

Ok so the rules when posting a Rick show since for whatever reason, getting the show dates straight has required a rocket scientist for Dees, indicate what the Sure Shot is in addition to the show date. Also indicate whether it is the CHR or the Hot AC version.

The D2K show on the app last night was ok, but today the sequence of segments has been chaotic , jumping from each hours. For example, after the final segment of the 2001 show , after Shaggy´s number one, come the extra content, bonus hour, the 1st segment was called hour 5 part 3 , a top 20 of december 2009, these bonus hour are pointless, IMHO, the right sequence of the segments of the main show is what matters, I dont know how many times I have heard Segment H1S4 coming after another segment.
IMHO, it could be easier if this D2K show could be added to the existing rick.com on puters, because another thing that I noticed with this app is that if someone doesnt interactivate with the mobile device, the app understands that you are not listening to and closes the app...

In the intro to #1, Rick mentioned that three acts born in the Caribbean had reached #1 to that date: Billy Ocean (Trinidad & Tobago), Wyclef Jean (Haiti) and Shaggy (Jamaica). He missed two: Gloria Estefan (Cuba) and Ricky Martin (Puerto Rico).
Since then, I can think of at least four others who have reached #1: Sean Paul (Jamaica), Rihanna (Barbados), Iyaz (Virgin Islands) and R. City (Virgin Islands).

Lady Saw was also born in Jamaica. Didn't "Underneath It All" hit #1 on Rick Dees' charts?
