The 2000s show is the CHR from 4/12/03. Has anybody emailed rick to find out if there are other stations airing the 2000s edition? No surprise that he skipped "Landslide" by the Dixie Chicks. That was a controversial song falling like a rock as a result of stations dropping it from their playlists left and right. First 5 songs in this show have featured female vocalists...would have been the first 6 with the Chicks song played. Favorite of those 6 is the first one, the Jewel sure shot. And my fave of those 'Stuck' songs is the one in this countdown! Man I would have given my right arm to be in that studio when Stacie sang that song.

She was the biggest musical crush I had since like Debbie Gibson in the 80s.lol. It's too bad she only had a few songs hit big in 03/04.. And I too am interested in if this show runs on any other radio stations. Since most stations have already dropped 90s they could consider these 2000s shows.

About the Rick Dees 2000s edition, is there going to be a double option of CHR and HAC in the re runs ? The 90s edition only airs CHR shows , despite that from november 1994 there are CHR and HAC editions. Did you know KKMK FM airs 2000s show? That station airs every Sundays 8PM-12AM EST. I don't know any other stations that plays the 2000s, and rick.com did not add 2000s audio in his site for a reason. Last Sunday aired HAC edition of Mar 21, 2009. Before that, there were Mar 15, 2003 CHR. So there might be possible mixed HAC and CHR for 2000s. I'm surprised not a lot of people, except few members talked much about 2000s show (2000-2009). And I'm not talking about current shows. The last 4 weeks we have had shows from 2009, 2001, 2002, and 2003 from 93.9 KKMK so I am going to go out on a limb and predict that next week's show (Easter Sunday) is from 04/17/2004.

I just sent Rick an email asking if they have released any shows later than 1999 to any radio stations or if they plan to do so in the near future. I will post any response I get or if I don't get a response by Thursday I will mention that.

I imagine that since earlier Hot AC shows in the 2Ks had Top 30 format ( and a lot of extras to make a 4 hour show) those years will be always CHR editions. As far as I remember the 2009 show was the one that the HAC edit was aired, in 2009 both CHR and HAC were a Top 40 countdown.

I will post any response I get or if I don't get a response by Thursday I will mention that. Rick has not responded to my email request as of yet. I did not mention 93.9 KKMK in my email to Rick (rickdees@rick.com). I didn't want to take any chance of their broadcasts being stopped if they are broadcasting the 2000s shows without Rick's consent. I have also sent two emails to KKMK in Rapid City, SD. The first one was just a fan email saying how pleased I was that they were broadcasting the 2000-series shows. They sent me an email back telling me about the 80s and 90s shows they also run. In the second one I asked if they were running the 2000s shows from their own inventory of shows or if they were getting them weekly from Rick. They didn't answer my 2nd email.

Also I'm curious for what next 80s and 90s would be? I will bet May 2, 1987 and Apr 17, 1993.. I know I don't listen anymore but this month had gotten date switched around but same repeats not in schedule, like they did with 90s Apr 1994 All Request

That was a controversial song falling like a rock as a result of stations dropping it from their playlists left and right. This reminds me of when it was #1 on American Top 20 (AC). When it dropped from #1 to #9, Casey noted that it was the biggest drop from #1 ever, tied with "Ships" by Barry Manilow and "The Lord's Prayer" by Sister Janet Mead. However, I believe that Christmas songs in more recent years have beaten this record.

seeing that rick.com has made some caption changes notably: "third weekend of April" 1987 and 1997. Rick.com audio for 90s updated: Apr 19, 1997. But the 80s has not been updated for some strange reason.. It's still showing Apr 25, 1987. I should try to look over on other stations and see if there's update by tomorrow.. Then again in Easter holiday, it's likely they might be behind on most updates.

Rick.com still has not even updated 80s page. I checked KZOY and it's same as last week 80s. I checked KOMC FM now and they're not even airing 80s WT40 at all. I put in an email to some staff in KOMC to figure out what's going on if WT40 80s are dropping permanently. I should hope for response soon.
I checked another affiliate of 90s airing: WSTV FM Saturday 8PM-12AM EST. Looks to be repeating last week 90s show..

The 80s show that was sent to affiliates was last week's show I have found out. You know if you listen to both the 80s and 90s shows and either current AT40 show, you will hear at least a piece of 3 different songs called "Sign of the Times". Prince's song with the different spelling is played on the 80s show, a clip of that song title by Queensryche was played on the 90s show because it was #1 on the rock chart(big Ryche fan here, toured 3 times in the 90s and I saw them 9 different times on those tours) and a clip of a song with that title by Harry Styles was played on AT40 this week.

KOMC FM response as for WT40 80s: "We are not dropping the program. Our system had trouble receiving the files so that it would play. The problem has been corrected. We apologize for any incovenience." I worry about KOMC FM for 80s or something, if for some malfunctions..
I checked WCXT FM 80s this 6AM Sunday and WKVI K99.3 this afternoon, and they are playing May 2, 1987, (new #1 Cutting Crew). Rick.com 80s still shows Apr 25, 1987: still haven't updated..
KOMC 90s aired 1997.

KKMK plays Apr 18, 2009 HAC edition. Cohost with Miley Cyrus. Surprised Easter is not the issue for this.
Miley Cyrus - The Climb was playing twice in this show, one as a countdown and the other is an extra, and that was actually the original 2009 airing.
Another issue I noticed when Rick Dees is introducing David Cook - Light On, for some odd technical reason, they played David Cook - Come Back to Me, which has not yet debuted in HAC chart until around May 2009. Original airing is not like that.

Well I guess that I was a little overoptimistic again since they played 2009 again last evening. Now I am hoping for a new year this coming Sunday, anything from either 2000 or from 2004 through 2008.

Yes what would you expect? I mean if they totally skip 1998 in the 90s series and play 1987 2 weeks in a row in the 80s series, playing 2009 shows 4 weeks apart is par for the course. It's alright, those last 2 songs are excellent between "Sober" and "You Found Me". So last week it was Stacie Orrico that I was ecstatic about. This week it is Miley Cyrus. She sounded like a valley girl and now I see why. She had moved there already. Must be nice living 10 houses away from her Rick!
