I know there are a few sites out there that provide you cue sheets for the Top 40 but does anybody know a site where I would be able to see the entire Top 100, specifically for 1983? I am not talking about the year end countdown but week by week charts.

I highly recommend the link above; I use it for when I make the optional extra predictions if the issue is there (example: I used it to predict the extras for the 1/29/1983 show but couldn't for the 1/30/1988 show because it wasn't available; for that one I used my Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits and looked for songs that entered the Top 40 within a month after the countdown date.)

You should also check out the Hot 100 DVD-ROMs from www.recordresearch.com . The 60s, 70s, and 80s editions are on sale for $23.95 each through the end of January.

It is really handy, believe it or not. When I ordered it, I got it in less than five business days which was pleasantly surprising! I am blessed.

i am considering getting this. i saw the sample sheet and it looks like the page straight from billboard magazine. i assume they are all like that.
dumb question. are the pages scanned or can you actually copy the text from the countdowns.

FYI, the sale is still going on for the 60's-80's DVD-Roms. I ordered them today although I would much rather have had them in book form. I don't know that I will find the DVD-Roms as convenient as a hard copy, but other than the 70's they are "unavailable," have been since at least November, and I doubt with the DVD-Roms out they will ever be in stock again.

I love the hard cover books! I use them all the time for research and fun. I have 50's/'60's/'70's/'80's. The '50's book, which I picked up last, is actually quite fascinating - in the era from '55 to '58 (before the HOT 100), it includes multiple charts from each week: "Best Sellers in Stores", "Most Played by Jockeys" (radio play), & "Most Played in Jukeboxes". Especially in the early days of Rock 'n Roll, it's fun to see certain songs that sold well, but were virtually ignored by Jockeys - this was common with many Black artists whose songs would sell well, but the "safe" & white cover version (artists like Pat Boone) would get the radio play!!

....also - regarding the 1950's charts - in November 1955, they added a FOURTH chart, which was a Top 100 that combined the "points" on the other three charts. This is what eventually became the HOT 100 in 1958!

I totally agree - I ordered the 60s and 70s hard cover books many years ago - I refer to them ALL the time - and to answer the previous question - it is the EXACT chart from the original Billboard Magazine. To me, it's a MUST have for AT 40 fans!

Check out the latest updates at RecordResearch.com. Their new, upcoming releases are selling at 40% off. I placed my order for:
Billboard HOT 100 Charts: The 2000's book Billboard HOT 100 Charts: The 2000's DVD
The HOT 100 Charts book for the 1980's and 1990's are already out of print at Record Research, so the 2000's book may not be around long.

They even list the upcoming 2000s edition as being a limited press run, so it will definitely go fast. Most likely I'll only get the DVD, since I'm not as likely to refer to that decade's Hot 100 charts frequently. Also, the charts in the book are B&W only, whereas you get full color scans on the DVD-ROM. (Still, as a completist, part of me really wants to buy the book.)

Totally agree on owning the hard cover copies(books). DVD-Roms may be nice, but for my purposes I prefer having the books. My 70's book is getting so worn out that pages are starting to fall out...

I emailed Record Research and asked about the 50's. The response I got said they would possibly to a DVD-Rom of the 50's charts, but it would be later this year.
This is the response I got:
Mr. Zimmerman We are planning to do a DVD - ROM I am not sure if we will do a Hardcover book - We may since we are doing that for the 2000's Plans for this will not be until much later this year Brent Olynick
