Exact date is 2-26-72, and this was the week that Melanie had three songs in the Top 40. Her 'Nickel Song' just played. All I could think of hearing it is Adam Sandler's 'Thanksgiving Song'. Amazingly similar 'feel'.

Episode is from 1972 and promo was introduced by Ann Wilson of Heart. I miss skuncle doing this, but maybe Noon isn't convenient for him. Noon isn’t great for me only because I have to stop what I’m doing to catch it. The 6am airing worked great because I was up and just had to turn radio on. But if I catch it, I can post it.

I guess we can "share custody" for this week, but next week, if you don't within an hour, I will proceed.

Casey was two weeks late with "I'm a Believer". For the week ending Feb 25, 1967, "Kind Of a Drag" by The Buckinghams was in its second and final week at the top of the Hot 100.

Seems like a longer version of the Brothers Gibb's "My World" than what AT40 usually played. Not complaining!

Wheel of....something....December 26, 1970.
So far we've heard the first few top 40 hits from that date, but no Casey (or any other announcer). What the hell?

Even more bizarre is Ron Parker said the wheel landed on March 2, 1971, but there was no show on March 2, 1971. It’s clearly the 12/26/70 chart.

In either case, I actually think we've heard enough of late 1970/early 1971 from both SXM and Premiere over the last several weeks. I do find it odd that they somehow had the top 40 from that week lined up with no talk segments. It's as if someone just asked Alexa to play the top 40 from Christmas 1970. (This incidentally includes the Guess Who's "Share the Land", at #30, which Casey deliberately skipped in the original show in one of its more notable headscratching moments.)

But why in the heck are we hearing Christmas week of 1970, but not CASEY counting down Christmas week of 1970? Which incidentally was the only year that the week that included Christmas day was a regular show, rather than part of a year-end countdown or a Christmas song countdown.

Last week no 6am show, this week it starts about ten minutes early, web site doesn’t mention a 6am show. Does anyone at SXM have a clue what is going on?
