'70s on 7' just died in the middle of "I'm Easy". Other channels working fine.
...and it's back, with 'Sara Smile'. Missed out on the two highest debuts, Paul/Wings and Elton/Kiki.

I just realized that this 7/17/76 show was the first Premiere AT40 show I ever heard, back on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Heard nearly the entire top 20 on a station out of Lawton OK, while driving through the area that day. Had no idea that these rebroadcasts existed until that day. On an unrelated note, Casey's mention of "Mother, Jugs, and Speed" during the intro of "I'll Be Good To You" reminded me of seeing that movie at a drive-in that summer. If only I could recall which of the three title characters Raquel Welch played...

I'll bet the Watermark folks were happy that "Framed" was stalling at #41. Another 'warning letter' that didn't have to be sent out with the records! And Cheech & Chong's Hot 100 follow-up, "Bloat On featuring The Bloaters" (a parody of 1977's "Float On"), also peaked at #41. Apparently, they lost all Top 40 appeal once another one of their featured acts, Alice Bowie, left the survey.

Re-listening this morning and I noticed a 'slip of the tongue' by Casey: Melanie's three records in the 40 occurred in 1972, not 1964 (obviously!) as he stated. He was obviously thinking Beatles, who had been the previous act to accomplish that feat, in that year. McCartney scored that 'threefer' in this particular show with the debut of "Let 'em In", and for the following few weeks until "Silly Love Songs" dropped off.

So now I am wondering if Premiere will "copycat" XM and do 1970 next weekend.

Maybe they'll play the countdown from 8/8/70-I turned 12 on that day.

Maybe they'll play the countdown from 8/8/70-I turned 12 on that day. Thinking XM will do 7-25-70 as they usually don't move forward with the dates of the shows. If Premiere does 1970 next weekend, it very well could be 8-8-70.

A part of that show was the second Premiere rebroadcast I ever heard, back in 2009 while on vacation in Florida.
