I'll confess I have no way of knowing where I got this data, but the spreadsheet I keep of all the 70s shows that have been played does go back two weeks prior to the 2/17/07 date. On 2/3/07 I have the 2/11/78 show being played. Then, on 2/10/07 I have the 2/26/77 show being played. If the show that Pete identified (1/20/07) is the first show, then the list is only missing the 1/27/07 show. Pete do you have any info on that week's show? I have a colleague who has a spreadsheet that lists all the 70s shows aired from Jan 2007. His list confirms what you mentioned above: the 2/11/78 was aired on the weekend of 2/3/07 and the 2/26/77 was aired on the weekend of 2/10/07. Here's the list that he gave to me: 1/6/07: 1/31/76 1/13/07: 1/26/74 1/20/07: 1/29/72 (Pete has already confirmed this) 1/27/07: 2/1/75 2/3/07: 2/11/78 2/10/07: 2/26/77 1/26/74, 2/1/75, and 2/11/78 were aired again in 2008 while 1/31/76 and 2/26/77 were aired again in 2010.

Now, all we need is the show from 12/30/06 I would imagine it was probably a year-end show. The only problem is, not many stations were running the show at the very beginning, so that's why it was hard to get the first few months. Who knows how many stations were carrying AT40: The 70s the first week out.

6/9/2012: 6/7/1975 6/16/2012: 6/19/1975 (R) Wow, two back-to-back shows from 1975, with the second one using a Thursday chart? That's quite a rarity! ;^)

That's quite a rarity! ;^) Actually, if that were true, it would be the second time in two months many of us got back to back shows from the same year! That of course would be the weekend the Dick Clark AT40 was an option, which was followed by another 1972 show. I actually heard those two countdowns back to back on the same day, as one station played Dick a week after most others did, giving me six straight hours of 1972.

They were the ones who did a test run before the show officially debuted.

Not that I don't find your posts amusing...just that so many are posted with new threads.
