I've been listening and recording both AT20 and WT40 HAC for over two years now and I can tell you they are virtually the same--with of course WT40 going much deeper into the charts...and those last 20 positions are songs that have been around a Looooooong time. I'd be thrilled if there was someone who would revise that chart and frshen it up---but that would be contrary to everything corporate radio seems to stand for today!

No idea where it's airing or where the chart comes from, but the Dees AC show is up and running. It's a top 30, and is called "Rick Dees' Weekly Top 30."
Kudos to Rick, ABC, and crew for filling this void that was left by Casey.

Well it's not like Rick has to do extra work. He just cuts & pastes all his old tidbits/gags/hosts all the time anyway. Hell, he could probably have Miley Cyrus as his guest host for months even though she was actually there only once.

BTW, isn't it about time for her to drop back in??

So here's what would have been on AT10 this weekend, according to the message posted in that thread:
01 01 The Climb - Miley Cyrus 02 02 Love Story - Taylor Swift 03 03 I'm Yours - Jason Mraz 04 04 Better In Time - Leona Lewis 05 05 What About Now - Daughtry 06 06 You Found Me - The Fray 07 07 Love Remains The Same - Gavin Rossdale 08 08 Come On Get Higher - Matt Nathanson 09 09 If You Don't Know Me By Now - Seal RE 10 Lucky - Jason Mraz with Colbie Caillat
The songs in bold are in Dees' AC top 10 this week. I don't want to end up giving too much away, so I'm not going to tell what position they're in. But we know he's not using Mediabase, though I didn't expect that he would.

Any word on affiliates yet? Will the show begin this weekend? I just checked Nenad's website but no links were there.

I haven't listened to Dees in a while, what is this Miley Cyrus visit you speak of? Did she guest host every week for a while?
I'll be intrigued to see how many stations have picked up the Weekly Top 30. I know lots of old AT10 affiliates have picked up the 70s and 80s shows.

Rick had Miley on as a co-host a couple of months back. Then, the next week, she was there "again." Then, a month or so later, she was there "again." All clearly culled from one in-studio appearance by her.

I got a word about the first affiliate of WT30... as soon as it is confirmed I will be adding it to the WT40 HAC stations list - hopefully there will be more affiliates soon and in that case I will be moving them to WT30's own list.

I'm listening right now to the new Dees AC show. There are no new jingles, it's the regular Dees jingles and sweepers. They simply edit out "Weekly Top 40", so all of the jingles simply say or sing "Rick Dees". Other than that, it sounds like he puts a little more effort into customizing this show compared to the Hot AC show. But no new jingles/sweepers.
It's streaming on mix987.com Sundays 10am-1pm Eastern.

I heard the last half hour of the Dees show. Taylor Swift was at #1 this week. If this were Dees' only countdown show, I would probably listen to it. For me, one 4-hour Rick show each week is enough.

Brett, While I haven't yet listened to this past weekend's show yet, on the Dees AC show from the week before, there were two "Rick Dees and the Weekly Top THIRTY" jingles used. Other than that, you're right...all just edited versions of the WT40 ones. Except for the ones where they forgot to edit out "Weekly Top 40." Oops. (Happened at least twice on that show -- reminded me of the days when you heard Casey referencing the wrong show name when he was WW1.)
