Although AT40 used Billboard during it's classic years, it was a guy with a "Cashbox" who also needs to be recognized. According to Rob's book, the summer of 1972 was a pivotal time for AT40 -- keep the show alive or pull the plug? We certainly wouldn't be here today discussing the program if it had gone off the air barely two years after it began.
So thanks to the money guy -- Tom Driscoll -- for financial support of AT40.
