I believe KQLL kicked off its' marathon officially this Saturday morning at 8AM EST (7AM CST). They started by playing this weekend's 5/14/1988 show. Please let me know what AT40 show - if any - does KQLL play after this at noon EST.

I just received an email from Kavan Seal, Program Director and Morning Host of KQLL, which advises me that the American Top 40 Marathon will start at 6 AM CST on Monday (Memorial Day) and will continue until 12 Midnight CST on that day.

too bad , QLL is not available for listeners outside the Us. Why , for copyrights ? If so , why almost all the other stations are available ?

I got further info from Kevan Seal of KQLL on the Memorial Day AT40 Marathon.
It goes like this; 7am - 11 am (EDT): AT 40 The 80's May 1981 11am - 3pm (EDT): AT 40 The 80's May 1988 (replay) 3pm - 6pm (EDT): AT 40 The 70's July 1973 6pm - 10pm (EDT): AT 40 The 80's Nov 1981 10pm - 1am (EDT): AT 40 The 70's May 1978 (replay)
He added "the idea is that many people don't get to hear these shows, but for someone like you who always listens, these may seem like repeats."
In any event, I appreciate this great challenge and strongly hope they will do this again from time to time.

Perhaps they will do another marathon over the July 4th weekend.

My guesses on the exact dates: 7AM - 11AM: 5/9/1981 11AM - 3PM: 5/14/1988 3PM - 6PM: Premiere never ran a July 1973 show. Will have to listen for this one. 6PM - 10PM: 11/14/1981 10PM - 1AM: 5/6/1978

...but for someone like you who always listens, these may seem like repeats. That's cool that he said that. I agree with jdelachjr2002. These will most likely be the dates, all shows we've heard within the last year or so, except for the 1973 show. And for that I'll pass, since I have an August '73 show from KKLZ, which would have much better sound quality. Truthfully I wasn't relishing the thought of massive amounts of digital audio to edit over the next few days, but I would if the shows had been ones I don't have, especially from the 1982-1984 period. Still, a great idea and I hope they do it again as well. You can never get too much AT40 I say

Cool, thanks upland1425 for posting the list of shows. I'll probably listen to the 70s shows and perhaps the 1981 show, seeing as I heard all the others quite recently. (Assuming that jdelachjr2002's predictions are correct).

Perhaps they will do another marathon over the July 4th weekend. It would be neat if they did Independence Day special shows for the marathon, but I can see why they wouldn't, seeing as this is exclusive for KQLL. Now, it was something sponsored by Premiere, then the specials would definitely be the way to go.

Next up: 4/14/73. I guess upland1425 got some slightly false info.

Actually I'm hearing the Top 40 Acts of the '70s show from 7/6/1974 (one year off).
