Does a Flip side that comes back as a new hit count?
Did that ever happen?

I don't know the answer to the above question.
But I did find something else interesting. On the May 1, 1982 show, Casey played both sides of a Credence Clearwater Revival song which he said was their biggest. "Down On The Corner" and "Fortunate Son" from 1969 were played so their original chart run occurred before AT40 began.
Don't know if Casey ever played both flip sides as an extra on any of his other shows.
