Todays show was an all request show from 1999. I didn't catch the week, or write down the full chart but #1 was "Livin La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin.

The 7-27-08 replay has to be 7-31-99. The show didn't match my cue sheets of 7-17-99 or 8-7-99. I have a copy of 7-24-99 without cue sheets and this show was not all request and Ricky Martin was not at #1. The funny thing, 7-24-99 talks about a brand new one replacing Livin' La Vida Loca. Yes, BSB were #1 on the 7-24-99 show with "I Want It That Way". Then, the all request special returns Ricky to #1, kinda strange.
Hey, if anyone has hour 2 of 7-17-99, please let me know. I have the rest of the show on broadcast CDs.

Couldn't it have been July 4 weekend? Isn't it usually holiday weekends they did these "all request spin the wheel make the deal and throw a dart and wherever it lands is the next song" programs?

It's not July 4th because Rick had a Will Smith interview while this one had the Sugar Ray. Looking at the cue sheets for July 10th, we have a winner. Yes, it was 7-10-99 on XM today. It's "All Request Special" and the cue sheets appear to match the broadcast. Until someone tells us otherwise, mark it down as the 7-10/11-1999 show.

Today (8/2/08) they are airing the show from exactly 22 years ago....August 2, 1986.

Todays 'sode on da 80s is.........8/10/85 Out of curiosity for those who listened to this show, have any problems with the audio? I don't know if it was with my equipment or what, but this show didn't sound as crisp as the others have. "Shout" by Tears for Fears sounded awful on my recording. Which I know this is the oldest show that XM has aired to date. |
