We all know that the Long Distance Dedication segment is the most popular segment in American Top 40's history. What I would like to know, has there ever been a long distance dedication that was dedicated to either Casey or Shadoe?

Yes, I do recall atleast one dedication to Casey, though I don't know the specific air dates or anything. I don't remember any dedications to Shadoe, but there are still quite a few Shadoe shows that I haven't heard yet.

in about March of 2003 about 2 years ago i sent in a dedication to Casey for Drift Away By Uncle Kracker and he sent replay back that he didn't want to read dedication to himself. I did however get a copy of one of the shows and an autographed picture

I believe that there was a R&D dedicated to Casey on a CT40 show sometime in the early 1990s. I remember Mark Elliot being the host that week.

I remember in the late 90's (it may have been CT40) a young boy who happened to be handicapped wrote a letter to Casey saying how much he loved the show and how inspirational Casey was to him. The boy made a point of saying "when David Perry is hosting the show for you, I hope it's because you're on vacation, and not because you're sick." The boy did not dedicate a song to Casey, so Casey dedicated "I Believe I Can Fly" to him.
