So for three weeks in May 1973 we were treated to Sing and Playground In My Mind on the same show (assuming there were no special countdowns those weeks).
Were there any other 1970-88 shows with two (or more) songs with kids singing or talking on the same show?
I'm referring to kids who were not credited on the 45 label, so not Michael, Donny, Foster, etc. Heck if that were the case we could chalk up all of 1971!
And BTW if there were kids in The Edwin Hawkins Singers, well they were credited on the label of Lay Down so that wouldn't count either. Ray Stevens stood alone on Show #1. And I'm sure there were kids in the audience at Glasgow but I wouldn't consider them eligible to join Pink Floyd in 1980.
And PS I like Sing and Playground In My Mind but the cool kids would never admit that back in '73.

This really doesn't count, but in Hot 100 terms, there was Martika's "Toy Soldiers" that had fallen out of #1. That same week (8-5-89) , Adrian Belew debuted at #95 with a song called "Oh Daddy" which only would reach #58. I liked "Toy Soldiers", but couldn't stand "Oh Daddy".

I think I found one from June 1990. Children sing a piece of "My Country Tis Of Thee" at the end of Slaughter's "Up All Night" while children sing along the chorus towards the end of Richard Marx's "Children Of The Night".

I'm surprised by how few of these songs there were in the Top 40. I wonder if there were even a dozen in the 70s and 80s altogether. There was Tom Clay (What The World) and Helen Reddy (You And Me) and the ones that have been mentioned. But who else?

He was so beloved by the younger set...

Too bad these songs with kid choir voices didn't make the AT40 reaches: "Hands Across America" by Voices of America (1986) "If You Believe" by Kenny Loggins (1992)

I preferred "Toy Soldiers", but rather liked "Oh Daddy" as well. I remember hearing that on Z95 in the late summer of 1989, generally on their "Chicago Top 30" countdown, which aired on Sunday afternoons. The song peaked at #10 on that chart.

I wonder if there was any song out in early 2002 to accompany P.O.D.'s "Youth Of Nation"?

Also, did a 1972 #1 song called "Black and White" by Three Dog Night featured a kids choir singing with the band in the last minute of the song?
I don't even think Rick Dees ever played Adrian Belew's "Oh Daddy" as a Weekly Top 40 Sure Shot though it never made top 40 reaches anyway.

Too bad these songs with kid choir voices didn't make the AT40 reaches: "Hands Across America" by Voices of America (1986) "If You Believe" by Kenny Loggins (1992) Also Voice Of Freedom by Jim Kirk and the TM Singers, which TM later offered as a localized "jingle", the memory of which is causing me to regret starting this thread. Though I suppose the little girl might have been a member of the TM Singers which would disqualify her. Same with Hands Across America?

How old was the girl on "Run Joey Run"? She sounded pretty young. (Which would explain why Daddy was so upset .)
