The remarkable voice we all grew up with on "Sesame Street", Caroll Spinney, passed away on Sunday at the age of 85. This topic can be considered music-related, since he did sing on "Sesame Street", such as "ABC-DEF-GHI" and "Wheels on My Feet". www.ctvnews.ca/entertainment/sesame-street-puppeteer-caroll-spinney-dies-at-age-85-1.4720672Sad loss for "Sesame Street" fans young and old. Of the voice actors who were on the show's golden years, only Frank Oz and Fran Brill are still alive, though the latter retired in 2014.

In 1970,an album of songs from "Sesame Street" was released-It featured "Rubber Duckie" which was a top twenty hit that fall.

I think the album "Sesame Street Fever" was far better, in my opinion.
As for "Rubber Duckie", it turns out that Ernie was the highest-charting Muppet on AT40.
Kermit the Frog's "The Rainbow Connection",from "The Muppet Movie", did make the top 30 on AT40 in the fall of 1979, and Kermit was actively seen on "Sesame Street" then. Big Bird also had a cameo in the film, and a lot of Sesame characters made cameos in the final scene of that movie also.
My most favorite Big Bird moments are:
- The "Disco Snuffy" sketch, with Big Bird and Snuffy imagining what a disco looks like, and in fantasy Snuffy is interested in learning how to disco dance. - The scene in the fourth episode of Season 15 with Big Bird has a hard time understanding the meaning of death after his close friend, Mr. Hooper, passed away. - The Season 15 premiere where Gordon runs the NYC marathon and Big Bird and Snuffy tag along.
