Multi-talented actress and director Penny Marshall passed away December 17 at the age of 75 due to complications from diabetes. She was a pioneer in the film and TV industry, breaking through the glass ceiling and leaving a memorable legacy. And yes, she and Cindy Williams made a brief appearance in the Hot 100 in late 1976. Their remake of a #3 Connie Stevens hit from 1960, would chart for 4 weeks and peak at #65. Sixteen Reasons - LaVerne & ShirleyObituary

Rest in peace Penny Marshall. Loved the work for Laverne and Shirley and good job with commercials and other tv show appearances.
