I think that Stevie Nicks will be inducted for a second time-In 1998,she got in the hall as a member of Fleetwood Mac-I'd like to see Todd Rundgren get inducted-He's a musical genius.

I'm surprised Janet Jackson hasn't been inducted yet, and I'm surprised Def Leppard hasn't been nominated until this year (they cold have been nominated as early as 2005).
Interesting fact... 22 musicians have been inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame as members of groups and as solo artists. All 22 musicians are male. Steve Nicks, if elected, would be the first female to be inducted as a member of a group and as a solo artist. Given that stat, it should be a slam dunk for her to be elected.

The late Aretha Franklin has the distinction of being the first woman to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame-That was in 1987.

Out of that group I would think Todd Rundgren should be a shoo in.

And here are those 22 musicians and the groups they were in (in no particular order): Paul McCartney (The Beatles) John Lennon (The Beatles) George Harrison (The Beatles) Ringo Starr (The Beatles) Neil Young (The Buffalo Springfield) Michael Jackson (The Jackson Five) Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds, Cream) Jeff Beck (The Yardbirds) Peter Gabriel (Genesis) Curtis Mayfield (The Impressions) Paul Simon (Simon & Garfunkel) Clyde McPhatter (The Drifters) Rod Stewart (The Faces) Lou Reed (The Velvet Underground) Sam Cooke (The Soul Stirrers) Smokey Robinson (The Miracles) Buddy Holly (The Crickets) Bruce Springsteen (The E Street Band) Hank Ballard (The Midnighters) Gene Vincent (The Blue Caps) Bill Haley (The Comets) James Brown (The Famous Flames) IMHO, those last six examples seem rather mystifying. The identities of those Rock & Roll HOF bands were so closely bound to their respective HOF front men that the bands should have just been inducted simultaneously with their front men and not been inducted separately. (For example, induct Springsteen and the E Street Band as one entity and not separate entities.)

^^ I'm in complete agreement with you regarding the last six artists. They are basically identified with their group.
On my way into work this morning, a local radio station played a clip from a 2016 Hall of Fame news conference. Steve Miller went off on the Hall of Fame Committee for various reasons. The clip is below... Steve's rant starts at 0:26, and it's worth a listen:
With artists only eligible for election in select years, it makes me wonder how political the nomination and selection process may be. Sure, they have opened up the voting so that the fans get to select one artist each year but if someone doesn't make it in their first year, why are some not included for nomination the following year? With Major League Baseball's Hall Of Fame, they get dropped if they don't have at least 5% of voters voting for them, and they are on the ballot for up to 10 (or 15?) consecutive years before they are dropped. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for how some artists are nominated except that an artist can be nominated 25 years after their first album release.

I'd still like to see the Doobies get in the Rock Hall.
