Bob Dorough was a genius in teaching children about multiplication, grammar, U.S. history and politics, science, and money - all through song. It really entertained kids while teaching educational concepts. I think Schoolhouse Rock is far better than Sesame Street, in my opinion.
Schoolhouse Rock aired from 1973 until around 1985, and returned by 1993 with two new grammar segments, and in 1994 new segments about money. It seems like the segments made a comeback due to the Children'S Television Act ruled by the FCC in the early 1990s.

I think these are the most noted songs in each of the four original subjects in the series:
Multiplication: Three is a Magic Number (which was also the pilot) Grammar: Conjunction Junction U.S. History and Politics: I'm Just a Bill Science: Interplanet Janet
My all-time favorites are "Fireworks!", "Electricity, Electricity", "Telegraph Line" and "The Weather Show" - the latter of which generated a lawsuit by the now-defunct Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey Circus, and never appeared on the 1990s VHS release as a result.
For the "Money Rock" series in the 1990s, I have no idea on which segment I like, but I think "Walkin' on Wall Street" may be a candidate. As for the 2009 "Earth Rock" series, I really don't have any interest in that particular run, despite that I do care about protecting the environment.
I did remember there being fresh Schoolhouse Rock segments that first aired in 1984, but titled "Scooter Computer and Mr. Chips", which is still under the Schoolhouse Rock umbrella. These segments taught kids about microcomputers, which were commonplace in the 1980s and 1990s until the Internet was launched, thus rendering these segments useless now, but still fun to watch nonetheless. I learned there were four such segments in this short run - are any or all of them on YouTube?
